I made natty little thermal jackets out of thick packing foam for the relevant transistors in the 901a/b ‘s
Seems to help and worth it for the sound of the 901b’s.
Takes an hour and costs nothing.

Re: External keyboard controller ..no luck. SOLVED
Thanx for all replies ..sorry for delay. It’s solved ! There is a small title that pops up in the app that’s just says ..q25. I didn’t realise it had to be clicked on and highlighted ..no mention of this as I found. Most links tend to show a bright box pop up to say ...such and such connected ..enab...

Re: External keyboard controller ..no luck
I got an Alesis q25 to overcome the problem of iPad not detecting midi keyboard... Still no luck ! I’ve tried different connections and powers usb hubs, a to b cables etc The iPad simply won’t recognise the q25. When plugged in nothing happens at all. iPad is two years old and up to date. Do I need ...

Ranges ??? Different oscillators
After now accumulating many various oscillators from different sources (but all Moog orientated ) such as Moog, AJH, Behringer 55 etc etc I’m finding that the basic range setting of them all differ wildly ! At setting of say 0 on each oscillator the octaves can be so different. Some are 2-3 octaves ...

Re: 907. Schematic ...faults ?
Thanks for this info...this is good stuff. I have dropped a resistor off the end of the 907 output and it has kicked the output to life. I need to do far more experiments with components but the 907 is bit by bit coming to life and sounds superb which I put down to the hand wound inductors. Sorry fo...

External keyboard controller ..no luck
I’m wanting to play the Minimoog d app on my iPad via an external midi keyboard controller but so far ..no luck. I’m using the correct connections but the external midi keyboard is just not recognised. The midi keyboard is about 12 years old...do I need a more modern one ? If so any recommendations ...

Re: 904a query
Thanks for reply.. Yes, it’s hard to describe. I’ll try. Similar to the Treble control of a hi fi where on some, the full clockwise gives a very biting and harsh tone with a hint of ‘buzziness’. I follow your description of a saw tooth being normal going thru a 904a as you turn the Frequency to full...

904a query
I’ve played a few 904a filters both genuine and cloned and also the new Behringer 55 series. I’ve noticed that most have a good high frequency response when adjusting frequency control ..at fully clockwise (no regeneration) a saw wave starts to “hiss” at the extreme top end. The Behringer 904a’s hav...

Re: Best Minimoog FILTER clone out there ? (Typo !)
Oh...that’s something that never occurred
to me.
I guess I won’t make any more posts unless it’s something to do with genuine Moog stuff.

Re: 904a and Minimoog filter.
I have a COTK 921 and this module has a far far greater output then the original Moog 921. I’ll do a test regarding saturating the filter as compared to the original 921bs I also need to flip the test and feed a 921b into the MiniMod filter for comparison. I get the feeling that lots of timbres Ive ...

Re: 904a and Minimoog filter.
Issue is more or less resolved. For those interested and looking for comparisons I’ve done some basic tests with AJH MiniMod filter/Osc and my cloned 904a. Quite simply, I was surprised to find that when I fed an AJH MiniMod oscillator directly into the 904a using saw wave, I obtained, more or less ...

Re: 904a and Minimoog filter.
Thanks for reply . Can you tell me ...is there a big difference between the two or would you say a subtle difference ? So far I’m finding theres a huge difference. The 904 a clone I have is no where near that of the Minimoog filter. I wish it had the response of the Minimoog ...but it simply doesn’t.

Re: 904a and Minimoog filter.
Norlin schematics. Exact circuit board copies. Exact components , even vintage ones. Exact wiring ..as perfect to an original as I can possibly get it. The only slight deviation is the piggy back resistor R11. In all I’m 100% certain no mistakes on the build and that all components are working fine....
