Re: Ratcheting!
My first question is, can the sequencer carry out `Ratcheting` Yes, indeed! Straight from the manual, page 20: RATCHET To toggle RATCHET on/off for a certain step, hold a step button and then press the ARP LATCH [TIE] button. Ratchet causes a step to repeat multiple times within a single step-durat...

Re: Sub 37 Tribute Edition with plastic end caps?
I'll bet someone somewhere is proudly showing off their ultra rare Sub Phatty with cool wood end caps. :( -- Moose The Sub Phatty end caps are black (at least mine are) so I don't think that would be the reason. Right. I was implying that someone may have thought a Sub 37's wood end caps would look...

Re: Sub 37 - not sounding well...
Is this a brand new unit or is it perhaps a used one you're buying (or have bought)? Here's something that sounds really strange, but has fixed weird problems for several people. Try doing a "quick erase" of the sequencer data. With the sequencer stopped, press and hold the BANK button and...

Re: Sub 37 rumors/new features wishlist
option to turn off the arp and LFO blinking LEDs -- I've placed my Sub 37 off to the right of my main keyboard and those blinking lights are a bit distracting on the periphery. Yes, yes, yes! I've put a piece of masking tape over the arp LED because it's so freaking bright. The LFO lights are less ...

Re: How to set Pulse Width percentage on Sub 37?
If you look carefully at the oscillator wave knob, notice the markings at about the 2:00 position look like a square wave, and the markings at the far-clockwise (5:00) position look like a pulse wave. At the square wave mark, the oscillator is putting out a square wave with a pulse width of 50%. As ...

It definitely does! The lower notes have a steel drum sort of sound. Very cool.paul_sub37 wrote:It definitely works.

Re: SUB 37 Mod Wheel ignored in PANEL MODE
OK, here's one other thing to try. It's really off-the-wall, but try doing a Quick Erase of the sequencer while in PANEL mode. Just hold the BANK button while turning the PATTERN knob to the REC position. That erases all the sequencer data. (See page 20 in the manual for details.) I had some sort of...

Re: SUB 37 Mod Wheel ignored in PANEL MODE
That's pretty weird, I don't think it's by design. At least it doesn't behave that way on mine. I assume you've updated to the latest firmware or your unit came with the latest (1.1.0). See http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=23888 if you're not sure. Things I would try: - Make sure t...

Re: Confirm Sub 37 OS version and Update
Press the Global button. The top line should say Global Menu 1.1. If so then you have the latest version. Hmmm. I think that "1.1" just means you're on Global Menu page 1, item 1 :) . But you're on the right track. Press the Global button, then press the up or down arrow buttons that are ...

Re: Does the Sub 37 MIDI go to sleep after inactivity?
Hmmmm. I've noticed the "light show" on my Sub37 sometimes hangs after running for a while. Not particularly related to Libertine Lush's issue, but circumstantial evidence that MCU hangs might be possible.MRNUTTY wrote:So, as to the MIDI, it's possible your processor gets hung.

Re: Moog Sub 37 - Ratchet
So you could use a non-sync'd Square Wave LFO to modulate RTCHT CT . Set MOD DEST to PGM: RTCHT CT and then set the MOD AMT knob to achieve a specific Ratchet Count. Now it will alternate between a Ratchet Count of 1 and x. Set the LFO to a non-sync'd Rate that's unrelated to the Arp speed and it w...

Re: Sub 37 Issues (Arpeggiator and Bank Selection)
all of my issues are sorted out Yay! Glad you've got it going. :D I speculate that the testing before they leave the factory leaves some weird data in the arp/seq memory. The Sub37 is a fantastic and rather deep instrument. The more I use it the happier I am that I got it. Hope you enjoy yours as m...
