Sub37 : Sequence Note Change on at Start

Morning/Evening All Had a look through the forum and Sub37 Manual but can't find what I am looking for.... doesn't mean it isn't there mind :D If I run a sequence using 'latch' is there a setting where I can press a new note in advance of the end of the current sequence but this new 'start' note is ...

Re: Pinout for DB25 I/O connectors?

I have just added the little board inside my Voyager and the components look very much like SIL (Single In Line) resistor packs/networks. The PCB silkscreen labels them as 'RN' for Resistor Network. My guess they are there to protect the Voyager CV drives from any short circuits that may occur outsi...

Beat me too it, Paul :D .. I was about to say the same..

What normally happens with a non-signature version? Do they just remove the wooden end-cheeks?

Re: Mod 2 led issue

If I recall correctly, one of the LEDs is voltage controlled, but the other is digitally controlled, because they simply ran out of voltage controllable output within the hardware. While the actual modulation will function as expected, the indication of what's going on is sometimes a little bit off...

I haven't tried that configuration... I have Ableton so I will give it a go in a day or two

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37

ha ha .. I nearly posted something along the lines of ..."Dan will be along in a minute to make sense..." :D I set up my Beatstep Pro using the sequence editor in Midi Control Centre and can set all 16 notes to C-2 and, sure enough the CV output sits down and 0 volts but as soon as I rotat...

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37

If you want to go up and down then that is fine, if you set the Beatstep to start at C-2 still but start your sequence, say, at C-1 you can go up and down as long as you limit your upper notes at C3 you will not exceed 5 volts into the Moog. So as long as you keep your notes within :- C-2 = 0 volts ...

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37

If you can start at C-2 then that is 0 volts and if you can work from C-2 to C3 for you sequences you will get 0 to 5 volts for five octaves on the Moog starting at whatever Octave setting/footage you are set to and not damage the Moog

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37

I could well be wrong but I don't think you want to 'scale' down the Beatstep Pro output as both it and Moogs work on 1volt per octave. What you could really do with is something that subtracts 2 volts from the output of the Beatstep so that C0 becomes 0 volts and C5 becomes 5 volts then only use th...

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37

Beatstep Pro :- If I measure the Pitch CV for the Sequencer 1 output and set all the Knobs to play C0 I get a constant 2 volts, if I dial all the knobs to C6 I get a constant 8 volts - 6 volts for 6 octaves. If I stop sequencing and use the pads as a 1 octave + 1 note keyboard then with both the Oct...

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37

For my Voyager applying a 0 to 5 volt voltage to the Pitch input will 'add' to the VCO's footage setting so selecting 8' and playing the bottom F key with 0 volts will make no change in pitch - adding 3 volts will increase the tone of the bottom F key up by 3 octaves. So, for each footage setting yo...

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37

Moog CV input is 1 volt per octave with a 5 volts max range i.e. 5 octaves. I assume (note the 'assume') that it depends on where you set the starting 'footage' of the VCO i.e. 32', 16' etc The Beatstep Pro also has a 1volt/octave setting but a 10 volt i.e. 10 octave range - I assume for modular kit...

Re: Final Production of the Voyager Announced

Well..... the 'Voyager Discontinued' email finally spurred me into action and I know own a Voyager Performer Edition in all it's loveliness and, alright old technology, but it can keep my Little Phatty Stage II, Sub Phatty and Sub 37 company :D

Weighs a bit, doesn't it
