Re: Sub 37 Gap in case

when was the last time someone was electrocuted by using a Sub 37 man? can you give me even one example? (just to put your comments in prospective seeing as you seem to think mine are over the top...)

Re: Sub 37 Gap in case

yes, the "hinge holes on show" drives me bananas. a major manufacturing/design flaw. i dunno how they let that one go....its so obvious. quite a few ppl have a problem where some individual white keys sit up higher than others. i have a feeling that the felt that is a "stopper" underneath gets compr...

my whole argument exactly latigid.

Re: Sub 37 Gap in case

i hear you, but you also have to think about this....the Sub37 is built like a Tank. just look at some of the other shiny, plastic flimsy offerings by other companies.

so yes its a small problem but its overall built to last through Armageddon and i think this is the tradeoff. so few ppl complain.

damn. ok MC thanks for the info, ive never really paid as much attention to the Summer NAMM. looks like we might have a little while longer to wait then.

Cheers,

Re: Maintenance and Inconveniences in Modern Analog Synthesi

we will only really know the answer to this question in 20 or 30 years. eg when a component "dies" in a Minimoog, it is swapped out and replaced. fairly easy. With something like the Sub37 containing custom CPU chips and surface mount components, its going to prove to be a lot trickier. but then aga...

Re: Sub 37 Gap in case

its called "character"...which Moog synths have Bucketloads of...unlike other manufacturers stale, digital servings! thats what i put the Sub37's keyboard "hinge holes" at the top of the keys that is showing as well down to, so it doesnt drive me completely bonkers....character. (i learnt to live wi...

Re: How long with Tribute Edition of Sub 37 be available?

i hear ya man, but i dont think its unreasonable to ask the question, seeing as a song and dance seems to be made about it. but i was more thinking along these lines because it was suggested in another thread that Moog will not want to keep paying this donation forever so they will certainly not run...

Re: How long with Tribute Edition of Sub 37 be available?

how much is "a portion is donated"...has anyone actually asked or found out. it could be 10cents per Sub37 for all we know. no percentage figure or eg "1/4 is donated"?

Re: Moog, what's next to develop for the Sub37?...

Just a Sub XL $2,300.00. if a Sub XL came out with extra panel knobs, options and points (kinda like the Voyager XL) i would be rite cranky because i would have no option but to buy it... i have kinda brought the Sub37 because i figured it was the "top of the line" ...ie the Rolls Royce of the Sub,...

Re: Analogic Oscilloscope on a Sub 37

only disadvantage of old 70s or 80s oscilloscopes is that they have the old CRT tubes in them, firing some nice radiation your way. Which is why the units are so deep in size. i was elated to see CRTs phased out and replaced by LCD. i could not wait to get them the hell outa my studio. I used to hav...

i like your kick delays man. cool. u just needed more delays on the main bassline...louder a few bung notes in the change at 2min54 but no big deal :) giorgio also panned the hard bass left and the delays right which was an awsome way to create the spinning stereo how much of a legend was GM to do t...
