Re: Sub 37 - Non-Tribute Edition?

his point tho Demon Dan was that its not like the Sub37 needs to be built as well or perform as reliably as a Dialysis Machine i think....so im not sure if thats necessarily a good tag line for Moog in an advertisement...?

"Sub 37...its fairly reliable...but its no Dialysis Machine"...

Re: Sub 37 - Non-Tribute Edition?

Dan, you spoke too much, or not enough :-). You'll have to be much more precise than that. Why a non tribute in this summer would not have a very long life? Do you know of new products from Moog to come? GReg if you dont think the next moog synth will be a polymoog you are nuts. its gonna be their ...

Re: Sub37 - Wierd non-aligned Pitch/Mod plate

hi m10k, thanks for responding...what does "took care of it" mean exactly. i am not really too excited about the idea of sending my whole synth back across the ocean to get a small plate swapped...did they send you a new wheel plate?

Sub37 - Wierd non-aligned Pitch/Mod plate

hi all, my pitch/mod wheel plate is not "flat". its always looked like it was not bent right during manufacture. it "slopes" towards the side where the keys start. ie the gap at the rear of the plate where it meets the panel gets wider and wider the more you look across it to the right until it gets...

Re: Sub 37, SN, owner, location list

SN 00245 !!! date of manufacture : 08/14 Australia i went through all the boxes in the warehouse (over 40 units) until i found the lowest serial i could find! i think its why i recieved a Moog T Shirt in the mail when i registered the unit...because it was below serial 00500. i have early signs of f...

Re: [Sub 37] Pitch wheel mis-calibrated?

i wonder if the easy way to recalibrate via hardware is not an alternative if you are getting driven completely mad (or until the bug is tracked down)...loosen the screws for the pitch mod plate...lift up and see the wheels underneath, using an allen key you loosen off the pitch wheel from the pot a...

Re: Sub 37 Mod Wheel

Lesson 1: connect your Sub 37's midi OUT...to your DAW.

play with the mod wheel

watch to see if your DAW is recieving mod wheel data.

Lesson 1: over.

and yes, if you push the mod wheel sideways enough on any Sub37 you will manage to grind it into the metal plate.

Re: MiniMoog Voyager vs Sub 37 - sound quality

congrats on your purchase. Solid, solid solid. they are already calling the Sub37 the "synth of a generation".

only thing you will regret is that you didnt buy a second one and put it up in the attic for the future, like i have ;)

Re: MiniMoog Voyager vs Sub 37 - sound quality

i totally get what youre saying about Voyager losing some of its aggressiveness. the "failings" (as i would call it) of the Voyager's sound is most obvious here on this comparison video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cTZo0qUlK8 the Voyager just sounds less dangerous....less "i could blow up at an...

Re: Moog Sub 37 - is it analog, digital or hybrid?

at least he can say "analog" about his new Prophet 6 and ...well no arguments here! what a massive synth that is going to be in the history of synthesizers.

batter up Moog. wheres your analog poly?

Re: Filter Knob problem (SUB 37)

Thanks Dapifer, the address worked and I have already heard back from Amos. He has explained that the difference in feel on the Filter Cut-off knob is just down to the size of the knob itself having more leverage on the shaft compared to the others - makes perfect sense. Operationaly there are no p...

Re: Build question on S37

personally if i was you, i would just get replacement wood end cheeks. i wouldnt send my precious whole Sub37 synth through the mail again. Youre likely to get it back with much more damage than a few wood chips. replacing the wood end cheeks is really easy. its just a few screws and they come off. ...

Re: Sub 37 - the best monosynth of all time?

we all need to buy a second Sub37 and put it , boxed, up into the attic if you ask me. imagine if a heap of ppl did this for the Minimoog. and could climb up and pull it down now, in mint boxed condition...unused. if my dad could say to me "here you go son, i saved one for you from the 70s...". oh m...
