Re: Sub 37 vs Model D

If someone wants a Telecaster and a vintage tube amp, they are doing so for tone. Those guys aren't complaining if their guitar isn't midi equipped with different tunings going to a modern modeling amp with tons of effects. The Model D wasn't designed to be flexible, it was designed to get the modul...

Re: Sub 37 vs Model D

Sub Guy, You will find that a knob-per-function interface synth like the Voyager or Model D is going to be very straight-forward with helping you learn synthesis. The less under-the-hood functions there are, the easier it is. Modulars are even better teaching tools because you have to physically rou...

Re: Bernie Worrell saying goodbye

I stand corrected. In 2008 he won an award, not sure what that was, but if that's the case then that's cool.

He's just one of my biggest influences and I'm really sad about his loss. Sorry to criticize.

Re: Bernie Worrell saying goodbye

Moog should have given him the innovation award. He was present and it's not like they didn't know about his condition.

"You are not an EE and know nothing of...." "Math sucks, but so does reality." It's a poor move in a debate to say something like the above quote, which is presumptive and insulting, only to follow up by playing the victim. Using shaming language and names to discredit people be...

Eric,

There are two videos, one with TJ Mills and the other with Nick Montoya.

Nick Montoya

They did have some obsolete parts remanufactured.

Pratt-Read for the win. Plays like a dream.

I own three boards with P-R keys, including a Model D.

Re: New Minimoog Model D features

Personally I think they added just the right amount of new features without moving it too far away from the original Model D. Of course I've never played an original Model D so some of my thoughts are from the outside. I feel that the small amount of added features would have been nice if originall...
