Re: Post your latest purchase!!

Flareless
The Moslab q960 has a version with a dual gate bus and an optional quantizer board in the 8 spaces.

Then there's the GRP sequencer which, compared to the Moon, looks like it's the most advanced. Maybe bypass the q119. It's a decent sequencer but you should do better with that system.

Re: playing the FreqBox vco...

Arturia Beatstep is another alternative to the Korg sequencer, but make sure its outputs are compatible. A CP-251 will open a lot of doors as well, and its attenuators will help with managing any hot voltage outs. The only real problem with trying to use the Foogers as a modular is that Moog never m...

It looks like you heave your heart set on the mother 32 though. Get one and try it out and you can always sell it later. Or even get one used and see if you like it.

Re: MOOG 15 QUESTIONS

By the way! What will you suggest to buy about the moslab option to complement my moog 15? 921 to get an extra LFO, high pass filter, extra mixer...... Please let me know? The Moog 15 has "921" series oscillators. A & B style. Those all have a 'Lo" mode and multiple outputs so th...

Re: Where to start?

If you are really hungry for modular and moog, the most inexpensive alternative is a moog clone modular. The moslab system 15 is 3800€. You don't have to buy that all at the same time. I see mos-lab just discontinued their 1700€ "system 8." But look at the module selection, buy what you ca...

Re: MOOG 15 QUESTIONS

Roger's new dotcom keyboard design isn't the best but that might be what you need. A Kenton Pro 2000 Midi to CV converter might be in order also. Moog's specs for their keyboard used to contain a list for possible upgrades. That panel on the back of your keyboard would have contained some CV and mid...

Re: Where to start?

You’re only 16 so you have a long time to figure out what you are going to to. At this point, something like a used Sub Phatty (less than 700), with a knob-per-function interface is a good place to start learning synthesis. You might be able to find a vintage Micromoog (which is what I learned on) f...

Re: How to fix a key on a Voyager (OS)

This is an excerpt from an email from Moog Customer Service containing the steps to removing the keybed from the Voyager for the purposes of replacing the keyscan board inside. The entire text can be found on the yahoo group Knob Tweak. It is advisable to have a flat surface handy that is capable of...

Re: Pelican or ATA case for Sub 37

I have a Pelican case for my photography gear and I'm having doubts that the latches are going to hold up over the long run. The Anvil case for my Minimoog, on the other hand is tough as nails. I haven't flown with either.

Re: New Model D ?

Sub,
Modular is nice because you can keep the oscillators and envelopes you want and get the module which gives you the distortion you are looking for (OTA distortion and FET drive).

Re: Moog 1130 Drum Controller, stand mount?

Tony, Mine is an early unit, and I think it uses the Ludwig Hercules tom mount. Before you buy one, (there's part of that on ebay right now for 50 bucks) verify that it will fit. Have you opened yours up to see when it was made? Yours was made in a different factory which was associated with other d...
