Re: Model 15/921B syncing

You won't get that kind of sync from a Moog 921b. Someone posted this video awhile bac m Here is an excerpt from an email from a friend of mine who talked about this issue with the production manager at Moog. As it turns out, the 921 design was NOT the synch you and I want and know. It’s not what Se...

Re: Voyager: cursor button dead

Ask Moog anyway, don't take anything you read here as an official advice. The exception to this is if you get a reply from "RL" who wrote the software for the Voyager. He is qualified to distinguish between a hardware vs software malfunction. Sometimes Amos will also reply, but over the l...

Re: I am grateful I have a Traumatic Brain Injury

It looks like your fooger selection is more effects driven and complimentary than focusing on sound generation, does that sound accurate? One thing that I've said repeatedly on here is that there really isn't a redundancy when it comes to modular gear. You can accomplish stereo filtering with anothe...

Re: I am grateful I have a Traumatic Brain Injury

Welcome to the forum! First, congratulations on your recovery. There is nothing that people take for granted more than the little things we do every day such as tying our shoes with two hands. (Always compose in a word processing program and then copy/paste it to wherever you are posting. Some forum...

Re: playing the FreqBox vco...

Because Oscillators are constantly....oscillating, you have to have a vca to silence them. When I got a q119 sequencer from dotcom, I had to turn the volume down on my mixer or mute the channel to silence it. Playing a sequence of pitches will get you some articulation of the note, but it's going to...

You just foiled your attempt to corner the market. Everyone is now ordering multiple power supplies. My crystal ball shows your stock has tanked. :D

Re: Voyager CV paranoia

You should experiment. Regarding the Voyager's CV Inputs, the Red jacks are for CV and the blue are for Gates. With the VX 351, never send 2 sources to a multiple at the same time. My some chance if you manage to screw up and accidentally plug a source to a source, there are still some safeties in t...

Re: Bass overload in my band

You should be willing to tone it down a bit yourself also, even if it's your project. The Model D can easily dominate almost anything else, so have some empathy for the guys who have to compete with that beast. Some acoustic treatment is likely going to be necessary where you both end up playing als...

Re: MOOG 15 QUESTIONS

The original minimoog wasn't really designed for that because it never had any CV outs. It's questionable that Moog designed these legacy products continuing the S-trig tradition and then cloned the Minimoog, gave it CV outs and didn't give it Cinch-Jones S-trig outs. You will need a cable which wil...

Re: Model D Reissue. Here to stay? Or limited run?

In one of their videos at the pop-up factory, one of the employees remarked that "everything is a limited run." Seeing as how the original Model Ds are still in huge demand after 40 years and the vintage ones come up for sale all the time, there is no way you will be denied the opportunity...

Hi, Didge!

Thanks, for verifying that it doesn't have a spring, I was curious about that too.

Speaking of the audio rate, your 960 can become a VCO.

Re: Post your latest purchase!!

The q119 is decent, particularly because of the glide function. But the lack of a skip function really makes it a bargain sequencer. Programming sequence length in real time is impossible. It's great for a basic cv sequencer but just get 2 960s because its much more playable. The Moon QSVS is probab...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!

Flareless
The Moslab q960 has a version with a dual gate bus and an optional quantizer board in the 8 spaces.

Then there's the GRP sequencer which, compared to the Moon, looks like it's the most advanced. Maybe bypass the q119. It's a decent sequencer but you should do better with that system.
