Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody

IMO the real sound difference is in the mixer and the filter(s). The One Ladder is voiced closer to the Voyager. I'm not sure what to compare the SVF to. It has a unique range compared to other 12db stuff I have. Anyhow, I had no problem getting Polymoog action out of it. I posted this elsewhere, bu...

Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody

Although it will fall on deaf ears ... I don't currently have a real D to compare, but I do have a Boog. The oscillators on the One are very very similar to the D. There is a slight difference in timbre in the mids (One has a touch more mids and slightly different voice in the 2ks). The Voyager is a...

Re: The One Vocoder?

It's great to hear that they are working on the vocoders!
I'll add a "Part II" to the comment on using a pre-amp.

-you also need to use a compressor going into it. It is SUPER sensitive. You need to maintain as stable a signal as possible once you find your spot.

Re: Moog One Answers

There are so many things to try, and this is something I have not tried yet. My understanding is that it was designed to allow Return pairs 1+2 and 3+4 to be panned hard L/R. I'm away from my Moog for a few days (visiting one of my kids in college), but I will play with that when I get back. (I hav...

Re: Moog One Answers

jmcecil, Why not just run a sub out from the One to your 103, then main out and aux out from the 103 into a mixer where you blend it with the One? Stephen . Trying to stay within a foot or so of the one. It's a long run to the mixer :D I think someone else has given me the answer ... and it's DUHHH...

Re: Moog One Answers

Hey Dan or Moog! I just hooked mine up and the keybed is glorious! Anyhow, I have several moogerfoogers. I'm trying to hook the MF-103 phaser in stereo, but it only processes the L side even if I go Aux out of the MF-103 with a TRS cable back to Insert 2. Basically instead of doing a sum, it seems o...

Re: New Moog Website Design

Those were great suggestions. After looking at the page on my iPhone the other day I’m convinced the web design team assumed that would be the only device used to visit the site. GUess what the only device I DON'T use to browse websites is? Well I do very occasionally. But it's only under dur...

Re: Without & With FX Video

I wish I'd marked the times. But there were a good 3 or 4 places where I finally went YEEEESSSS!!!! The kind of bongo tom hits were perfection. They had punch and full bodied life. One of the later arps around that time had that same presence finally.

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests

On synths that don't have a screen readout, grabbing an unused knob ALWAYS wrecks the preset value, and I don't even think twice about it. Exactly, I think I expect the value to get jacked up when doing that. I know this gets complicated by fixed rotation knobs and various takeover/relative modes. ...

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests

My concern is that it will feel very broken if nothing happens the first time you move a knob (in a section not currently represented by the screen Ok, you forced me to think it through and my conclusion is that you should NOT treat the knob as just a different "more" button. It should continue to ...

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests

MORE button vs just getting focus when you move a knob. Maybe we can have a mode like a "focus" mode that allows the more page to open up when a control is touched. Leaving it off is the current behavior of using the "MORE" button. Hi jmcecil, be more specific: In a feature request I've been callin...

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests

A discussion on GS brought up the issue of the more button vs just getting focus when you move a knob.

Re: Click track?

I don't have mine yet, so take this with a grain of salt .. technically they could make a plugin fx for click, but it should be possible to do it with one of the existing ones and some use of mods to close the effect on beat and adjust the emphasis beat. Just trying to think of a solution for now. N...
