Keep the decay time at 50% or less and the sustain won't fade out.

The RATE input on the MF-102 controls the RATE of the LFO and is not useful for syncing it to any tempo as it is a CV input... Something very easy to try - use the TRIANGLE output of the CP-251 LFO patched to the CARRIER IN of the Ring Mod - Square Wave of the CP-251 LFO would be patched to the MuRF...

Hi

This behavior is normal - it's a little like a theremin in that regard. If your body's capacitance to ground changes a lot (like by touching the front panel) then it loads the touch surface differently. I sometimes use this for trill type effects. It's a feature!

The Voyager VX-351 keyboard out CV is calibrated to 1V/octave.
Freqbox Freq CV in is calibrated to 1 V/ Octave - should be accurate over ~5octaves...
Of course w/ all analog stuff calibrations may vary slightly unit to unit.

MF-101 can be used w/ a line level input - output impedance is <1Kohm
Note the "nominal" output level (when drive LED is orange & no clipping) is -4dBm - so YMMV depending on what interface you're using and how much gain you'll need @ the input.

Happy moogerfooging...

Helpful hints for phaser: The Aux out of the MF-103 doesn't make a true stereo phaser, rather it is is the direct signal minus the phased signal, where the Audio out is the direct signal plus the phased signal. This means if they are panned in the center of a stereo setup, the phased signal is cance...

Hi Eddie - Just out of curiousity - what's the serial # of the 91B? The serial number is on a small plate fastened to the bottom of the unit if I remember correctly. There were only ~ 150 Series 91s made. Most were the 91A model which was the the "traditional" podium shaped one, they had a fold down...

Hi Bryan -

For fun you should try out the CV Smooth function in the utilities menu (see p.40/41). This switches in a global filter (for all four CV outputs). It might help - it's worth checking out.

Best of Luck

Hi - In my experience the freqbox should track a 1V/Octave input reasonably well across 5 octaves. Some may track accurately across a greater range and some may track across a lesser range - please keep in mind it was designed more as an effects processor than as a VCO that would track a 1V/Oct cont...

Hi - You need to plug the Footswitch into the TRIG input - not the S+H IN Input (In fact the S+H IN Jack is normalled to the noise source). If you do this (and plug nothing into the S+H IN jack) you will get exactly what you described - a new random voltage held until the next footswitch press. Try ...

So the circuit should: - normally be closed ("on") - broke when foot down ("off") Is this right? [/size] Hi - That is correct. Also - so you know the TAP TEMPO input for the animation sequencer is on the tip of the input jack and the STEP input for the animation sequencer is on the ring of the inpu...

You should check that your footswitch is Momentary, Normally Closed, Press-to-Break type operaton as opposed to Normally Open, Press-to-Make. Many footswitches are selectable in this way, but some are not. The Moog FS1 definitely works on the MuRF Tap/Step Input.

Hope this helps!

I haven't had any real problems, but I did notice one irregularity. When I route the Mod Wheel (or Pressure, etc.) to control the LFO Rate, I find that the rate increases as I push the Mod Wheel forward... sometimes. If the LFO is set to a Square Wave the rate changes in this way. If the LFO is set...

Hi Andrew -

If you're getting the VX-352 RM CV Input Expander - check out the attenuators: They are reversible (i.e. can invert the signal) and have an offset control as well.

Hope that helps
