I don't know... that's why I asked this before:

why is a voltage follower necessary? why not simply switch internal/external gate with the jack?

The only thing I know is that my Werkstatt is working and sounding perfectly

The GATE IN is inserted between U-14 pin 8 and C68. You have to cut the trace (marked //)...

The five jacks are connected to VCF IN, VCO EXP IN, GATE IN, LFO IN and LFO OUT
