Re: Post your latest purchase!!

Which WMD? Are you talking about the Phophet (or is that a Poly Evolver?) Or the keyboard on the lower left (workstation looking keyboard)? Either way, my two favorite pieces of gear in that picture are the Xpander and the OB-X(a),8? Unbelievable setup. very nice; even a Minitaur peeking on the rig...

Re: Why did moog pull the pin on the delay?

Interesting. I overload the bleep out of mine and have no issues. I also push it to the limit as well. Maybe I am lucky? I didnt know until now that there might be issue with it. The only fooger I have issues with is the freakbocks. And those "issues" are all along the lines of levels of c...

Re: Moog Ring Modulator and Voyager

No, all you need is 1 1/4 inch jack from the MIX OUT output of the ringmod to the FILTER IN of the voyager to do that. Im pretty surethe voyager is also having the main out beinng fed into the ringmod as well before going to the amp.

Agreed. Call me old fashioned, but this is my preferred way of controlling synths. For the most part, the price on a synth has to be phenomenal for me to buy one without CV control on it.

Re: Reverb for Little Phatty

Well I like to plan my parts (especially for recordings) aswell as jamming randomly, so random movements are a bit of a hassle especially for things like Osc. 2 Freq. if you're playing a phat saw bassline or something, and I can almost guarantee it will land on an unusable interval. If I want thing...

Re: Humming fooger

Humming is also caused by having the gain/output knob up to high. This happens with the mf102, mf103, mf105......all of them actually lol The type of humming will tell you which one is doing it. Tremelo=ringmod. sweeping type sound=phaser. etc etc etc The mf105m does have some sweet sound syou can g...

Re: Reverb for Little Phatty

INteresting. I have never run into that issue. I only had the four of them hooked up via midi to a triton, and never had a single issue. Well except for having to change each dial on each phatty individually. But, that lead to having 4 different sounds on the same preset(mind you accross the four) a...

Re: Moog Ring Modulator and Voyager

A good understanding of the LFO is essential. ;)

Also, you should read a thread on bells/chimes sounds too. Really good use of the mf102 there.

Re: Reverb for Little Phatty

KP3 is a cool unit. It's def got that bang for buck thing going on. RCA adaptors are kind of annoying but thats the only drawback. The only thing I use it for really is to apply LFO's to drum loops. Sometimes I get good results, most of the time its garbage. BTW polychained phatties=the nut high. I ...

Re: Reverb for Little Phatty

Eh, man up and buy the Eventide Space. It's ridiculous. I would also buy the mf104. If its worth anything to you, if I could only have one effects unit, it would be the moog delay. Simple, sounds good, nuff said.

Re: not digging the murf, lacks definition

Also, basslines / bass sounds sound great through a murf. If you have access to a taurus, I hihgly recommend feeding it through a murf.

Re: not digging the murf, lacks definition

I dont think its subtle at all. In fact, the murf mangles the original signal into something new. Its extremely powerful, and I am ashamed to admit I barely use it.

Hints, try using the knobs! :D

But in all seriousness, what are you using it for/with?
