Re: What makes your XL so special?

I don't own one, but I can list the reasons why I want one... 1) Value. Even if I bought a Voyager, ribbon controller, VX351, and CP251 it would add up to more than the going price and still not have 61 keys. 2) It has 61 keys. 3) It's a VOYAGER with 61 keys. 4) I like big heavy synthesizers, and t...

Re: What makes your XL so special?

agreed. I'm still debating on whether to get the Voyager or the XL in May, and I'd love to hear what the XL can do that sets it apart. Does it really offer that much more if you already have a CP-251, VX-351, and ribbon controller for your standard Voyager? Come on guys . . . give us some sounds

Re: New girl with a Slim Phatty!

Congratulations on your purchase, and welcome to the Moog family. With my SP I found it very educational to start with a simple wave form like a triangle (there should be a few presets in the upper 90s called simple triangle, simple square, etc.) Then, slowly tweak each parameter until you learn wha...

Re: Warm up issue

I had a tuning issue with my slim phatty, and it turns out that it was my fault (not saying this is what's causing your problem though). I had a doepfer ribbon controller controlling the pitch via CV, and I still had the phatty set on auto-tune . . . oops. Once I figured this out and corrected it, I...

Re: A few Voyager pics

Don't apologize for your enthusiasm. She's a beauty . . . everyone here probably understands your excitement. I'm getting my voyager in a couple months and I can't wait. The phatty and the 'foogers have blown me away so far. I'm sure I won't be able to shut up about the voyager when I finally get my...

Re: voyager poly-chained with phatty?

well, I don't know . . . that's why I asked. I wasn't sure if that could somehow make it more powerful by adding another filter, 2 osc, etc. . . . guess not, exposes my neophyte ways, I suppose. :?

Re: voyager poly-chained with phatty?

thanks, Omaroo.

So, has anyone combined them the other way (running the voyager through the phatty for added modulation, etc)? Just curious if that would offer any interesting options.

voyager poly-chained with phatty?

I tried looking for this topic on older threads and found some related discussions where folks aired their grievances about attempting the poly-chain, but those threads were a few years old, and I know the operating systems have been updated and such since then . . . so, my question for all you moog...

Re: Why are all the postsa moderated??

n2design, I think you should check out this post: "a big thanks to everyone, best synth forum I know" . . . it's a little further down from yours. The Moog forum is the friendliest, most collaborative synth forum on the web. I feel that this whole thing is probably just a misunderstanding....

excellent breakdown. Thanks for illuminating me with more moog-knowledge. I'd really love to get the XL, but I just can't quite afford it any time soon. Maybe I have the patience to save for 10 months . . . maybe

voyager question

I'm considering buying a Voyager soon, and I know this question has probably been asked on here before, but I couldn't find it, so I'll pose it again . . . What is the main difference between the performance edition and the other editions? Is it just cosmetic, or what?

thanks

Re: My Cluster Flux is really noisy...

I'm no expert, but it may just be your pedal. I recently added the cluster flux to my collection (LPF, freqbox, ring mod) and I have not noticed any extra noise from the flux. Like I said though, I am definitely not an expert. Hopefully other members with more experience will chime in and help you o...
