Re: Here it is...

That is much more than I expected. I was expecting a sticker or a t shirt or something. Cool!

Re: NEW ALBUM, please listen . . .

Cool, you out-referenced me! I never knew Psalm 69 was a Crowley thing. Makes sense though. Thanks, Cpt Beardheart. It was actually an Aleister Crowley shout-out, with a little nod to Ministry for also finding the humor in Crowley's Psalm69. Voltor07!!!! (my favorite one to play live, ha) EricK, tha...

Re: gift for voyager owners

OK, guess I'm slow or something, but I just realized what this is about.

I guess the gift to Voyager owners is that one of them will be selected to win a Blingsynth.

Nothing more to see, move along.

Oh, come on.

It's going to be pretty hilarious if all this leads up to a new sticker.

Re: Help new Voyager XL Owner (Show me yours)

You sound just like me! Guitar player who bought an XL to do awesome synth stuff with the intention of including effects pedals, etc. I use the simple double-braced X stand from Sweetwater (who I highly recommend, btw). This one: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/XStdDbl It works really well. I...

Re: Moog Fest 2012?

Actually, a related question. My son wants to come out from L.A. and get us VIP tickets for the festival. Great idea, I'm an old-time synth guy now into the Akai EWI and many iPad synth apps. But here's the problem: I've also got old-time legs and can't stand much. Am I going to be unable to sit an...

Re: Purchasing Moog Products

Also, dealers sometimes have special editions. I think dealers are typically the better way to go. In fact, I'd bet MM would encourage you to go through a dealer if at all possible. I imagine they'd rather focus on building synths and not on shipping and tracking and all the headache that goes along...

Re: Purchasing Moog Products

I don't think so. I recently bought an XL and wrestled with the same question. The only benefit I could find was that it was going to take just a few days less to get it direct from Moog as opposed to going through Sweetwater. But Sweetwater let me break the payments up across 3 months, without inte...

Re: vinyl

My opinion is that vinyl is the only physical medium that really makes sense these days. I'd say make music available digitally, since that is what most people use for convenience, then also offer a nice premium vinyl product with nice art for people who like to have something cool to own. A CD is j...

Re: What makes your XL so special?

I too would love to hear/see some XL demos! There are not many I could find and those I did, I must have watched 20 times. I just ordered mine but it won't be here for awhile. I would say the one thing I'm most excited about the XL is using it's control surfaces, lfo's, and filters, etc. to alter t...
