Re: Post your latest purchase!!

Karp MKI just came this afternoon. :D This post really had me scratching my head and wondering... until I realized that it must be the Korg ARP MK 1. Congrats! Congrats indeed. The MK1 is not only the best sounding (although you have all course all 3 filters :D ), but the best looking too !!

Re: Problem with Bus 2 Modulation

What's the serial number of your Voyager ?

I've had a string of issues with mine ever since I got it and it came to light recently that there is batch of Voyagers that could be affected by bad ICs. Maybe yours is part of that batch too.

Re: Thinking of selling my Sonic Six... talk me out of it !

Thanks for all your replies... I played around with it again yesterday evening and have decided to keep it for the time being. As I have said before it's not a question of value or investment, my instruments are here for making music, that's it. Yep, it's a strange beast, there is a lot to like and ...

Re: Thinking of selling my Sonic Six... talk me out of it !

Thanks all for your replies. Actually, I don't mind the small keys on the new Odysseys, I'm not much of a keyboard player anyway. But as I'm yet to hear one for real no decision has been made on that yet. I don't think selling the Sonic Six would even come close to the cost of a "real" Ody...

Thinking of selling my Sonic Six... talk me out of it !

So yeah, I'm thinking of selling my Sonic Six. Not using it enough, it's big and heavy, takes up a lot of space when open, but I do like it when I use it, twin modulators are really cool, the RM sounds very sweet. If it goes, it would probably give way to a Korg Odyssey. What reasons would you give ...

Re: dreaming of the Voyager's successor...

Mmmm, I hope those "wants" are not stopping you buying and enjoying a Voyager right now !

You can get pitch CV (and lots more) out using a VX-351. This is an extremely useful add-on ! Or just buy an XL.
I've never had an issue switching on my Voyager 15 mins before using it

Re: RIP Kevin Lightner/Synthfool

I never had the honour of meeting or speaking with Kevin, but his reputation as a great tech and great person are boundless. Although the world is poorer without him, he will live on through his wise words and advice, as well as through the many great instruments he serviced and brought back to life...

Re: Building a Home Studio

... Logic as my DAW and sampler... Although I have been using Logic for a few years, I could not recommend anyone starting up to base a system around that software. Not that it's bad, quite the contrary. The reason I would not recommend it is that Apple has been and is continuing it's dumbing down ...

Any thoughts?

Thanks for sharing this. Strange though, I have a 1120 and it looks different to the one described in this manual. Mine does not have a power switch but it does have an external power input !!
