Re: WNAMM2016: Korg Minilogue

just like moog includes stickers with their synths, I hope Korg includes a magnifying glass for the oscilloscope OLED. I used to be a huge Korg fan, once owning a Triton (my first synth back in 1999) and a KP3, but their obsession with miniaturizing everything... the arp synth they made and its tiny...

Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital, Analog)

I hear you. there are impedance issues when it comes to using a synth on a guitar pedal. it has to do with line level versus hi-z inputs, and the Small Clone from EHX, when I've used it (I long since gave it to my wife for her to use on her guitar instead), sounded like hell when I connected my LP t...

Re: Minimoog, Oscillator 1 & 2 Propblem

Thanks EricK. That's a great wealth of information and reading material. The physics of the synths we play are fascinating, eh? BTW, if you or anyone needs one, I spoke to John, who runs his own ebay store called Teletek. He goes by the username Teletek23. I called him and he taught me a bit about o...

Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital, Analog)

Thanks MoogProg! I'll edit the OP to include your list.

I'm glad to see that we have some participants. I think a lot of synthesists have wondered which stomp box actually works well with synths, so I think this will be ever more helpful as time goes by.

keep adding on!

Re: Roland "Boutique Series"

Well, I hope you enjoy yours though. They seem to sound pretty good from what I've found online from reputable sources. Yeah the MNM just wasnt for me. I once had an MD and that sounded too thin for me and again, just not my thing. Even the Analog 4 didn't work out for me. The latter was more about ...

Re: Minimoog, Oscillator 1 & 2 Propblem

Hey EricK, I don't mean to go a little off topic here, but how does one choose a good oscilloscope? I've wanted one for a long time, and the analog ones look great. Is the 475 easy to use and maintain? I clicked on your ebay link but yeah, the guy has nothing up right now. I found this place: http:/...

Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital and Anal

Interesting you'd mention the RE20. Thom Yorke of Radiohead actually uses one with his DSI Prophet 08. I'll add it to the list. I've been really interested in one of those old Roland tape delays, one of which has a great chorus built-in, but I've always had a bit of trepidation towards vintage gear....

Re: Roland "Boutique Series"

I ordered a JP-08 recently, to sequence and automate with my Elektron Monomachine. Turns out you're right - it doesn't respond to CC's, and with such a limited interface, it damn well should. I was hoping it would make me want to keep the MNM, but I cancelled my order for the Jupe and sold the MNM o...

Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital and Anal

thanks jsharpphoto! That's a great list man - I'll add them to the list in the first post.

I tried an EHX Small Clone with my LP and it sounded awful. just a lot of noise and a very weak signal, possibly due to a volume/impedance mismatch.

keep 'em coming fellow Moogers!

Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital, Analog)

Hello All, In this forum there seems to be a thread where members discuss a few options and offer their insights. With this thread, I would like to start a list, with your input based on your own experiences (and please include a sentence on your use/experience), of the stomp box format effects peda...
