Re: A Poly-Moog Synth in the future ?

But the problem is VCOs must be heated up to keep them stable and in greater numbers this has an effect to the price. This is not the case for DCOs. Not all VCO designs need to be heated. Many (if not most) VCO designs are not. But it is true that they must have some sort of autotune or feedback ci...

Re: A Poly-Moog Synth in the future ?

On the other side it's a "hard thing" to develop one. As I was told, it's pretty hard to keep 12 or 18 galloping horses (12 or 18 VCOs 100% tuned) all in a row. The problem isn't that it's a "hard thing". The problem is bad design. There's a right way to design an analog polypho...

Re: A Poly-Moog Synth in the future ?

[quote="muziksculp"] I would love to see Moog Music develop a Polyphonic-Moog Synth in the future. (6 voices would be great). My balls are growing bigger and bigger :D :D :D . But, as I remember when Bob Moog had been asked about, if they'll produce one or not he said: " We could, but...

Re: University Moog?

People often like only to show what they have, and when a crazy-one comes and want to pay he won't get it.

Re: I know this is a Moog forum but...

If Moog Music wants to reissue a polysynth, I'd rather see a new Polymoog than a Memorymoog. I was quite unimpressed with the Memorymoog - nothing about the sounds I tried stood out in any way. When the Memorymoog had been released I was down on the ground. But one year later watching a SAGA-show t...

Re: I know this is a Moog forum but...

But while the demand for poly analogs is still strong, I am not sure why anyone would rather pay 3k for a p12, when they could get a real VCO poly like a Sequential or memorymoog, or jupiter. You CAN'T compare the vintage stuff with the new any more because of this: For the the vitage like i.ex. Me...

Re: 5/4 Taurus 2

The T2 is a synth-Stradivari. Obviously no-one dares to admit this. Those who have one should compare theirs to their other synths more carefully, and they'll find out too :D .

Re: Model D mods, ever see these?

I would bet my head, the red knobs are "ON"-knobs. Set a certain amount of "Decay" or "Glide", put both white toggle-switches in "off"-position and press and hold one or both red buttons and play on the keyboard simultanously. If I'm right, you'll hear then &q...

Re: What do you do?

Hi Kenneth, Nice to see you interrest here. My main subject is singing, I've been a singer for nearly forty years now with interruptions in cover-rock bands. I've a 5-octave voice and I like to interpret a lot of. Since I was a young boy I always looked up to the very "big-ones" , from Tom...

Re: Memorymoog board upgrade?

Hi MC !

Yes, go to the page above, chime in into the Chroma Talk, those guys are VERY helpful. Doesn't matter if you are in the States or in Europe, there are very skillful techs around. But I warn you, a diagnosis from far for the Chroma in most cases couldn't be done.

Good Luck!
