I don't think the dealer is correct. I use the VX-352 with a CP-251, but I don't know why you couldn't use the 351 and 352 together to, for instance, route the LFO to multiple targets.

The only thing that troubles me about that setup is the lack of aftertouch on the LP. I suppose it depends on your playing style but I like to use aftertouch.
