Re: OS Osc 3 sounds different that 1 & 2

The following is from tech support on this point. Yes the differences seen when looking at the wave shape, amplitude and bias for OSC 3 are normal for a Voyager, and exists on all models. The reasons for the slight difference(often noted as a slight difference in timbre to trained ears) is due to th...

Re: OS Osc 3 sounds different that 1 & 2

I've been following this post, but was in the middle of my own questions as to the Mod 2 bus. Then I set-up OSC 3 as an LFO and ran that to OSC 2 what I noticed (heard) was that it sounded like center pitch of OSC 2 was dropping, not alot but enough to heard. So, I looked at the OSC 2 signal on my t...

Re: Mod 2 Input Problem

Ok, I know its me just posting to me again, but as a matter of reference to someone who might find this useful, I figured I'd put this up. It might spare someone the frustration of trying to sort what their V is doing, being as none of this is documented. It has surprised me that no-one has found th...

Re: Mod 2 Input Problem

OK, Continuing the story, I sent my Voyager to Moog, took a month+, they fixed what I broke and said the Mod 2 bus was fine. Got it back and found that the Mod 2 bus problem was still there. The following is what I sent to Moog. Well, I have my Voyager back. Thanks for helping fix what I damaged. I ...

Re: Voyager + Patchbay

Hey Krismiller1982, I've set-up a TS patchbay for my Voyager and Moogerfoogers and am in the process right now of assembling some Blacet Research modules. Most of the Voyager inputs can be plugged into and brought out to a patchbay without changing the V's configuration. This is a short list of the ...

Re: Blade Runner Brass on Voyager?

Try setting the filters to the lo pass/hi pass mode and play with the Fc & spread controls. The filters should be set as 2-pole 12db slopes. Use velocity & aftertouch on everything! Well really pitch (lfo) & filter mod (aftertouch CV) will do. You can do a version of the CS-80 post filte...

Re: Four-Input Mixer - full audio range

Also, note that on the programmable Voyagers you can route Osc 1 or 2 to the buss source using the programmable source option. I think on the old school V's Osc 1 & 2 are choices on bus source selector.

Re: Mod 2 Input Problem

Well, Turns out I did blow a chip on my Voyager in my attempt to make right. I found I have no ground in the room I was using, certainly my bad. So red faced, tail between my legs etc.... I've sent the Voyager to Moog to be properly cared for. Just thought I'd post to keep it straight and yeah I kno...

Re: Mod 2 Input Problem

Well,
I checked it out again tonight - listening to the audio out, it sounded correct! So, I put it all back together and all seems well. I did remove and reconnect some of the ribbon cables so, who knows, just glad to be hearing what I expected.

Re: Mod 2 Input Problem

Yeah, I know. Same experience here with 15 in elec. production, a number of years buying faulty Prophet 5s, etc. and restoring them. I was trying not to wander too far into it all and hoping there was someone familiar with this section on the forum. I have a message in to Moog in hopes for the schem...

Re: Mod 2 Input Problem (part 2)

Ok, Not there yet, but further along. The Mod 2 bus input signal also goes to the left, then right panel pcbs, then to the digi PCB, from there to the analog pcb. I don't know for certain about the other source choices as to whether they go through the digi pcb, but the all look fine at their respec...

Mod 2 Input Problem

Wondering if someone can give me a hint. I'm thinking I have a problem with the Mod 2 ext input on my Voyager, I've a message in to tech support, but I figure I would post here and see if someone might be able to point me in the right direction. I've followed the circuit though the Mod 2 input to th...

Re: Guitar synth -> MIDI-to-CV -> Ring mod carrier

Hey, New to the Mooger Fooger world, I figured I would respond to this post as a continuation of MIDI/CV control of the MFs. I have a Voyager & MP-201, and I just won an MF-101 from Moog, nice holiday surprise! So, I've gone over the edge and bought an MF-102, CP-251 & VX-351... I was playin...
