Re: MP 201 timing issues

The MP-201 does not have an independent clock, but it can put out LFOs on each channel, each running at different rates. MIDI clock is your best bet.

Re: White Noise Patch help

The ms20 has lowpass and highpass filters, thus creating a bandpass filter, just like the voyager.

Re: Sample & hold

If you have the rack voyager, yes you need the vx352. If you have a normanl keyboard model, it's the blue Jack on the back lableled s&h in.

Re: Sample & hold

The sample and hold circuit takes a sample or a snapshot of the incoming voltage and holds that voltage until the next clock signal when it takes another one. The most common voltage input to be sampled and held is noise, which when analog is infinitely random. So, a random voltage being sampled at ...

Re: White Noise Patch help

Try putting the filters in bandpass mode. You can get some cool sweeps with bandpassed noise. Play with the envelopes to tailor the "slope" of the sound. If it's missing body, increase the sustain. A short decay makes the sound "snappy", while a long one can give subtle movement. To have the sound c...

Re: who's left in the lineup

I still have my patience, but I really want to destroy stuff with the bass! I've tried using that email page before for a different email and I didn't get a response for that either so I was wondering if there us a different address people use.

Re: who's left in the lineup

I'm still left in the lineup. I tried emailing Moog to see if they can give me an estimated time, but I have not recieved any response. Is there a different email adress than the form you fill out on the website?

I'm helping with the sound for the event on the 17th! Not much to do as the only instruments are a voyager and a model d, but still! :D

Re: Tiny Feature request

What if we could write our own init patch? When you go to save a patch, you could save it normally or have the option to "save as init". That would be great.

I personally would like the filter all the way open, mix with both osc at half, no modulation, envelopes at full sustain.

Re: Polyphonic Moog Feature Request

I went to the museum of making music event with john eaton, and honestly the multitouch keyboard isn't that impressive. He was saying how it doesn't have the right software to match it's capabilities (I don't know if he has been living in a cave where reaktor and max/msp don't exist or what) but the...

Re: Pitch Envelope on a Voyager

Another more complicated thing to do is take an envelope out of the vx351 and put it into the cp251 mixer and mix it with lfo's, noise, or other voltage sources and send that to the pitch in Jack. That will give you really complex envelopes.

Re: Pitch Envelope on a Voyager

Set up one of the modulation busses so the source is "on" and the shaping is filter envelope. Assign the destination to pitch and there you have it. You can put the filter envelope amount to zero if you don't want it to affect the filter.

Re: MF-401

Bitcrushers are cool and all, but they are digital, and Moog makes lovely warm analog products. If Moog does make a vocoder, I bet they will get a lot of sales from Guitar Center "dudes" that think a vocoder is what gives that sick t-pain effect.
