Re: Interfacing Roland system 100 with new Moog equipmen --s

The gate out of the roland is 3X the voltage the moog stuff wants. Not sure if it's a problem or not, but I'd consider attenuating it just to be on the safe side.

Re: Can you drone with the Phatty?

so is the gate s-trig? and if so would using the old transistor in the jack trick to make an s-trig responf to gate voltage work? i only ask since the gate opens when a jack is inserted and i'd like to use it with my eurorack modular It might work with out the transistor in the jack. I have been ab...

Re: Just played a Roland Gaia at the store

I was at guitar center the other day and they didn't even have any Gaias. The only synth they had with knobs that i could easily make do what i wanted was the micro korg. Other than that and the alesis micro-synth, which wasn't plugged in, everything was filled presets including drum loops that just...

Re: Fooger on Fooger Sounds

Interesting compressor patch. If I understand it correctly, it should be possible with a single 101 that has been modified to accept separate audio & envelope signals, if you can mult the audio and feed both inputs. I don't have a 101, so i can't be sure, but I think it might work if you mult the o...

Re: Ring Mod LFO question

An another thing I noticed when I noodled around with my MuRF and Ring Mod is that when I controlled the rate of the MuRF with the Ring Mod's LFO, the speed of the MuRF's rate drastically decreased. The LFO did modulate the speed but also narrowed it down. Is that normal? It sounded awesome when th...

Re: Make Own Side Panels for LP

It's really easy, just unscrew the big screws around the sides. There is a board connected to the jacks with little screws. i don't remember if this board is also mounted to the base of the synth. I don't think you'll hurt anything to easily. Most of the electronics are mounted behind the panel, whi...

I'm pretty sure that the etherwave to etherwave plus field upgrade kit is the pitch to cv board with a couple jacks n' things.

Re: FreqBox VCO - Is it the same as in the Voyager?

I don't know if it's the same osc as in the phatty or voyager. I suspect that it is similar, but not exactly the same. I do know that it has been described "old school analog" and has no temperature control, which is not a problem as long as you turn it on for about 20 min before tuning it. I don't ...

Re: Amplification for Little Phatty/Slim Phatty

For a while a played through just a pa, sometimes a bass amp, then I added a sub to the pa, and now there's no going back to a sub-less system, at least for me. The sub took a huge load off the pa, which makes a big difference if other things are using the pa too. Also the bass is much mo' phat.

Re: Fooger on Fooger Sounds

102 and 107 (or 101) compressor. I don't use this often, because the ringmod loses it's ringmod function, but I like the idea. Audio > 102 > 107 dummy plug (a plug not connected to any thing) or a fixed negative voltage > carrier in 107 env > 102 mix Adjust the mix of the 102 and the drive of the 10...

Re: SP audio in,midi in

Does the Gr 20 have a mono mode? I had a G2M for a while. The latency annoyed me, but I found that I could use an envelope follower the trigger the envelopes faster than the midi and a little glide to smooth out any glitches.
