Re: Osc pot unstable

I have experienced grounding issues with my little phatty. The first thing to try is unplugging the audio output to see if the led stops moving. Ground problems seem to be common when the phatty is plugged into a different power source than the amplifier or mixer. A possible work around if the groun...

Re: Is my Ring Mod malfunctioning?

Does the noise decay too soon after? Sometimes when using my ringmod I experience a similar event, where a ringmoddy sound will continue for a short period of time after I stop playing a note.

Re: Midi Murf as a drum machine

Another way to use the murf as a drum machine is to split the mono output, then feed it back to the input. (I usually run the murf into my freqbox before splitting it)

No Pattern Editor in Murf VST?

Why does this not have the pattern editor included in the VST? I Was excited about this until I read the manual, which does not indicate the inclusion of a pattern editor. I need the pattern editor to be included in the VST because I use linux (both avlinux 4.0 and ubuntu), which can handle VSTs, bu...

Re: Little phatty bug

I know there was a version of os 2 where an arpeggiator bug was causing things to freeze. on the patches where the freezes occur try turning down the rate of the arpeggiator. I think that bug was fixed in a latter version of the firmware. I'd try updating the the latest os 3 beta. If that doesn't fi...

Re: classical music composer

Think about what is more important to you. Composing music that appeals to a large audience, or composing music that you like without compromising your artistic goals. My opinion is that you should compose the music you want and don't worry about other people. Also should you wish to become a well k...

If you want a non-midi solution, a click track into the step input works.

Re: New Firmware v3.1 for Slim Phatty, LP Stage and Tribute

Possibly I can add a "plain mod source" although I keep running out of room in the code... my recent changes to the note stack have freed some more room; I will see. Adding menu text and UI stuff takes much more code space than just adding new functionality, frustratingly for me... :) Why not remov...

Re: Tuning Problems = Ground Loop

I've experienced this problem on a few occasions. As cz rider indicated, it usually happens when the phatty is plugged into a different outlet than other things in the signal path. First make sure everything is getting power from the same outlet. If that's the case try a different power strip or out...

Re: New Firmware v3.1 for Slim Phatty, LP Stage and Tribute

Thanks for the update Amos! When I first tried installing this on for a pc the fist step for the usb never worked. The program said the information was sent, but the phatty never indicated that the usb was upgraded. I then tried using a mac and now everything is working great. I really like the legg...

Re: Saveable PWM Bass Sounds on Slim Phatty?

I added a Hold pedal implementation today... use the gate CV input jack to send MIDI Hold pedal messages and hold MIDI notes coming from the LP. Really fun with a poly stack of Phattys, or when using LP as a controller. This also might or might not make it into the current release... not sure if it...

Re: Moogerfooger rolling off high-end of incoming signals

I just brought home a Freq Box and this is definitely happening to me as well. I like this box, but I do wish it didn't roll off the high end like this. I find this thing works great with short, bright synth sounds, and I would love to just layer a little bit of the Freq Box grit under and otherwis...

Re: LP: real analogue pitch bend?

I have the little phatty, and there is some stepping, but i only notice it on really slow wide bends. Also the master tuning knob can be used to bend if you want, but it doesn't return to center. If you want a doepfer solution, I think they have mod and pitch wheels in the diy section of their web s...

I like wooden flutes, but i like them even more when mic'd and run through a delay with a healthy dose of ring modulation.

Re: Moogerfooger rolling off high-end of incoming signals

I just tested this on my freqbox and I too found the bypassed signal to be much brighter. It makes me wonder if there's a lowpass filter in there somewhere, or if the amps in the freqbox simply don't reproduce high frequencies. If it's a lowpass filter, then it may be possible to mod it, either bypa...
