You want to SEE what is going on? Put an O'scope on the input and output and look at the wave form. That's a great idea! Will try that soon. Please share your findings, I would love to solve the mystery of the ringmod's function, but my school just went on break, so I don't have access to a scope f...

Re: a couple of questions on the mf 107

I’m also curious about the CV modulation between the filter and the freqbox…I know that experimentation is the key but as I don’t actually have them I’m just wondering about the possibilities. If I were to connect the frequency of the osc on the 107 to the cutoff of the 101 would that be too fast t...

Does it act the same as when you us the internal carrier? With my old ring mod I found that the shape of the tremolo effect changed based on where the mix knob was set. Mix on 10 was triangle shaped, mix on 5 was the same except it was half the speed, mix on 6 had a slight hiccup to the sound, as d...

first, i don't have a voyager, i don't know if mixing the tremolo is possible, because to create the tremolo you are modulating the original volume, if the voyager has a second vca you could use that one as a clean signal, and mix that with the tremolo. if you determine the voyager is not capable of...

......You should hear what they say about drummers, mate! On the subject of poly, I seem to remember reading somewhere (Wendy Carlos' site?) that Moog used to make a chord generator for the big modular systems - I don't know anything about it, but maybe given modern technology, those guys could com...

you can change the setting of the analog control, it likely is in track mode, you may prefer snap, or pass-thru

there is no danger in using a ts cable instead of trs, the only difference in their function with the foogers is that if you use a ts cable on one of the cv inputs you will not be able to use an expression pedal on any of the others, at the same time, thus they are only important if you are using an...

CV multiples could be used to send the CV to both synths, and are included on the 251, and i believe the 351 as well, and if the voyager is like my phatty then there are menu options to turn on and off program change messages, both send and receive. Also i recommend you read the manuals, they are we...

i think of midi as virtual knob twisting and button pushing, that does what it wants to, such as changing patches, or parameters on one synth when i change them on another, this really annoys me, but i have learned to tame the beast with midi filters, which sadly are not included in every synth, and...

Re: MP-201 vs. CV mod

No AD/DA convertion involved with going from MIDI OUT LP to MIDI In MP to CV OUT of MP to CV In of X, no extra pedal to find a place for, and obviously the LFO signal from LP is not available from the MP either, albeit you could probably match speeds closely enough. Digital conversions kind of scar...

MP-201 vs. CV mod

With the updates to the mp-201 it seems as though the cv mod for the phatty is unnecessary, as the 201 can provide multiple pitch, and modulation cv, without having to send the phatty to the factory. Is there any benefit to having the cv mod over the mp-201?

I have had my stage II less than a year, and already the lhc has peeled, its barely noticeable, and has only occurred in the dip. i played a new one recently at a music shop, and it felt strange, possibly, due to the pristine rubber.

I have both the ringmod, and the freqbox, i never used the ringmod with bass, until i got the freqbox, with it's envelope follower, together they are a great bass team, my bass rig is bass to freqbox, to ringmod, to the filter of my phatty, i send the envelope to freq and rate of ringmod, as well as...

I love the idea of the joystick, i played a korg with one a while ago, and was able to achieve control pitch and filter with one finger, something i am not very good at with my phatty lhc, even using my whole hand, which leads me to a new idea, a unit with five joysticks, designed such that one can ...

While on the subject of wheels, it'd cool if moog were to build a box, a lovely box, throw in four lfos, and four wheels, then maybe midi, and bam! a mp 201 for your hands, now add cv allowing for foot pedals. multi wheel 201?
