Disclaimer: I am not an EE and do not really know what I am talking about, but. . . If they are not plugged into the same outlet, try that, I think you may be experiencing problems due to a voltage across ground. I had some problems with my Phatty, that turned out to be grounding issues between the ...

Before using it you must configure 2 steps in your Phatty but its very clear in the manual update that cames with the OS upgrade. Hello. I just did the Update and have been playing around with the Arp for a looong time. This is fun!! Haha. But: After connecting the LP to my MBOX, loading Pro Tools ...

sometimes when I am using cv from my freqbox to the ringmod, (osc to carrier in, I believe), I experience a rather long decay, not of anything crunchy, but more like space noise. I think i have only had this happen while playing bass, but that may be due to not using that patch for other instruments

Re: smoke and the voyager

are there any concerns i should have about having my voyager is a smokey environment? other than the funky smell? AFAIK it depends on the kind of smoke. Once a crook told me that specific kinds of smoke CAN make moog synthesizers sound more mind blowing. Seriously, as stated above I also think that...

Re: MF-101 or MF-107 Env Out trick

For example you want to modulate some parameter like LFO speed on another Moogerfooger with an envelope of your choice. But if you plug in the synth into MF-101/107 bypassed and get the Env Follower Out to modulate the LFO speed, the shape of the envelope will be determined by the envelope of the s...

There is an option to turn off program change messages, which will prevent the preset select encoder knob from changing the voice on the second synth, but I don't believe there is a way to prevent the other knobs sending midi. I don't know about the midi clock, but I assume it sends on all channels

This isn't a photo, but I thought I may as well share this cover of a holiday classic I recorded with some friends last year http://virb.com/andurzandtheargonauts I think it makes a great, unexpected, addition to cheesy holiday mix cds, thus as my gift to you feel free to download and insert between...

This thread inspired me to play with the mix knob some, which led me to realize that with no signal to the carrier (insert a dummy plug) the ringmod can be used as a VCA, with an inverted CV response (higher voltage = quieter) by applying CV to the mix input I think this is whats got folks with an ...

The first hour with your synth, and already plugging it in the the computer? I don't think your phatty will behave itself if you don't introduce yourself. First start by gently stroking your synth, then you can start to twist knobs, and play some keys, then if your lucky, a few melodies, bloops, ble...

Try different grounded sockets. Mine was a little buggy when I first played it. I called up Moog (don't hesitate to do this, they are awesome and quick) and upon their suggestion moved it from the multi-outlet to its own dedicated wall socket and it worked beautifully. Both were grounded, so it jus...
