The problem you are having with garage band does not sound like a grounding issue, if it was garage band would do strange things as soon as the voyager is plugged in, it is likely caused by the voyager using the same cc number as garage band uses for idle, I don't use garage band, as I run linux, an...

From the MF-102 manual PEDAL INPUTS: All pedal control input jacks are 1/4" tip-ring-sleeve phone jacks. The sleeves are grounded and the ring terminals are supplied with +5.7 volts which is current-limited to about 0.5 milliamperes. The tip terminals receive the variable voltages from the pedals. F...

DIY Generation of Negative CV's?

I just had this idea, and am curious as the whether y'all believe it should work to generate bipolar CV's. Take one 9V battery, then connect two resistors, of equal value, one to positive, the other to the negative, then connect the remaining leads to each other, thus dividing the voltage by two, at...

With something as iconic as a Moog, there is no need for a gaudy sticker! Actually, I kinda wish my phatty didn't have that huge moog sticker on the back, (if you want, I'll trade you Eric, you can have my phatty, with the huge sticker in exchange for your voyager). One of these days I may get arou...

Hey Niko, I don't have a voyager, just a phatty, but this same problem may apply when using the voyager as a midi controller. My phatty is very sensitive to grounding issues, thus causing to the parameters to drift, when not plugged into the same outlet as the amp, I have solved this problem on the ...

Y'all who are interested could call moog and find out if they will sell you the necessary boards, then come up with a custom case to put 'em in.

I am currently working on designing a different kind (theoretically more versatile, and strange) of sequencer, when I finish it (may be quite some time) I will post a demo and some technical info.

Hey Niko, I just looked at the manual for the QY10, and it appears as though that piece of equipment is designed to be used as a sequencer, with internal voices, not really a voice expander. If you like the sounds on the QY10, I would recommend finding a similar yamaha keyboard, with out the sequenc...

If your not afraid of floppies, zip drives, or scsi, and a maximum 32 Mb ram, check craigs list, I purchased an Akai S-2000 sampler for $30, it does not allow one to program sequences, but will play them, if saved as a standard midi file. Something newer is probably easier to work with, but for $30 ...
