Hidden Gem

My wife's band played a show last night, and I sat and talked with her bassist beforehand. We got on the subject of synthesizers, and he mentioned that he had an old synth in his basement. I asked what it was, and it took a while for him to remember, but eventually I found out he had a Moog Satellit...

Easter Egg?

During the new video Moog posted featuring the polyphony of linking four Slims to a Little Phatty,
did anyone notice that the Little Phatty had black side panels?
Is this the fabled Little Phatty Stage III?

Re: 5 Voice Polychained Slim Phatty Video Is HERE!

How about an even Slimmer Phatty? Without the control knobs, just midi in/through and buttons enough to recieve patches. Then it would be really modular! I think what Moog ought to seriously consider is releasing something like that. A one, maybe two oscillator module, MIDI ready, that is affordabl...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Slim Phatty + MIDI Controller

I have not played a Slim, but I do own a Little Phatty. I have heard talk that the Slim does have its own unique sound, and is a great standalone synth that can be played creatively without a midi keyboard. However, I have also heard that, when played with a midi controller, it feels significantly l...

Re: Problem with LP SEII firmware. Please help!

Okay. I'm going to try restoring factory settings, but I'm going to first need to back up my patches. Could I get some instruction on how to do that?

Problem with LP SEII firmware. Please help!

I turned on my LP and let it warm up, and when I began to play something odd happened. Regardless of what preset I used, the second I touched the mod wheel it would change the preset to "stage ii". then I noticed when I hit a key, a black arrow would flash on the screen. What is happening ...

Re: FOR SALE PERFECT MOOG PRODIGY

If I had the money to spend, I'd do it in a heartbeat. The Moog Prodigy is one of those classic instruments that people are going to wish they'd bought when it was still attainable. Are you sure you want to sell it? If it were mine, I would keep my hands on it... The price on that thing is going up ...

Re: MOOGFEST 2010 - Official Announcement

Jónsi is playing. I would easily buy a ticket just for him. He is going to make this year's Moogfest the best there ever was. If you haven't heard him, you need to listen, or better yet, watch a video of his, and I know you will agree with me. http://www.jonsi.com You can stream his entire debut alb...

Jónsi performing this year's Moogfest

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but the announcement for this year's Moogfest included Jónsi [of the band Sigur Rós]. I had the great honor of seeing him this past April on his first solo US tour, but I didn't notice any Moog gear in his stage setup. Thus, I was shocked, albeit ecstatic to see ...

Re: My Chemical Romance and the Moog Voyager

I' get really excited when I find out someone is using a Moog synthesizer. It makes me want to go out and buy the record and listen to it, scrutinizing it for each bloop and beep that the Moog produces. I guess you could say I get a lot of musical influence from artists who use analog synthesizers, ...

A departure from the norm

I think it would be awesome if Moog designed an electronic organ. They could call it the "Morgan"

Scoff if you will, I think it's a great idea.

Re: My Chemical Romance and the Moog Voyager

I guess I should have explained myself in a little more depth. Personally I like the band and the music they make, and I simply wanted feedback from other fans on the fact that they are using a Voyager. I didn't think posting on the band's forum would be fruitful, as the only thing people talk about...

Yeah, this is the type of immature response I should have expected. Sorry for trying to make conversation.
