Re: I love Moog but [rant]

Yeah but that gold makes it sound phatter, so I can see why someone might be disgusted. I am throwing out my Taurus 3 pedals in protest.

[edit]The Taurus 3 pedals were too heavy to throw so I'm keeping them, purely to save my back of course.[/edit]

Re: Taurus 1 Pedals/Contacts- Original vs. Modified

Yeah, if I was buying an old set I'd want them to work. It's the same as replaing contacts in a knackered keyboard. I think most people would want to play a keybed/footbed that doesn't re-trigger notes or not trigger some notes than keep it original. Only things that change the sound would really de...

Re: A novel idea A "Moog Soundcard"

Really, if you want such a thing, then Sonic Core's XITE-1 is hard to beat. From the people that brought you Minimax (which many still consider the best Minimoog emulation), a modular synth based in DSP with as many modules as your DSP can handle (which on the XITE-1 is quite a lot): http://sonic-co...

This is what I was hoping would be in the editor. Imagine being able to edit patterns on your computer visually, then store them in place of arps for live work. Would be brilliant.

Re: Taurus 3 firmware update - v2.0.3

New: Can save footwheel volume per preset, can save pedal transpose per preset. Only just read this - this will be great for quick changes even within one song - a bit like hitting the Octave switch but with any transpose avaialble. Nice one. I think I've been one of the most vocally downbeat about...

Got it working. The key is to NOT use the USB, but use regular MIDI and it works. Haven't tested anything yet though.

Re: Taurus 3 firmware update - v2.0.3

Nothing seems to happen at my end. I get a brief message saying "Updating..." (it is too brief to see the rest of the message) and then nothing seems to happen. Is it supposed to do the full count up and reset like previous updates?

Re: Free gift?

Thanks Amos, at least it gives some hope. It seemed the lack of Moog interaction on this forum regarding T3 meant it was a done deal and left 'as is'.

Thanks for bringing me out of my downer.

Re: Free gift?

I'd rather have news of a (free or not) T3 editor. Maybe this forum should be renamed just the Minitaur forum.

Re: Something rattling around in my T3!

Did you take any opening up pictures? Don't think we've seen a T3 open yet.

Did you see if it that part snapped off anything?

Re: MG-1 restoration parts...

I used their Rogue kit and replaced all my sliders and faded slider knobs. Also replaced all the switches - that black gunk got everywhere. Anyway since then it's been like a new synth. Some before pictures (this was after an hour of cleaning): http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp343/Mr_Arkadin/Stu...

Re: Taurus Editor

I have no problem paying. I think people expect software to be free like they expect music to be free, without realising that for some people that is their living. Obviously once money is involved I would expect a certain level of decent programming, something I'm not sure Sound Tower have judging b...
