Re: RIP Kevin Lightner/Synthfool

He was a fantastic source of info, for sure. I have some of his test equipment that I purchased just weeks ago. He sold off everything he ever owned. It's going to take me a while to process the fact that he's gone.

RIP Kevin Lightner/Synthfool

After years of suffering from serious health problems, I received notification at 12:40am CST that Kevin Lightner, known as Synthfool on forums and elsewhere on the internet, has indeed passed away. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. I count myself to have been lucky e...

Re: Sub 37 updated release date ?

Side panels and a sig, fine. This is the only difference I foresee. Most of the implementations are digital, unlike the Tribute Edition Little Phatty, where as much as possible was analog. To keep costs down on the LP, they had to digitize some of the analog stuffs. Hopefully, the computer is beefy...

Re: Sub 37 updated release date ?

I'm betting the first KE modular ships first. Moog is a small company with Amos as the main guy doing the work. If he's building modules hand-wired instead of Sub 37's, it could be another three months at least before we start seeing the first Sub 37's roll out.

Re: Anyone know anything recent about Mike Bucki?

Depending on how many modulars are built, I have to agree. I know Mike wasn't the only source of parts, if he was a source of parts, but if more than three of these things are ever built, I will say, yeah, Mike probably was a source of parts.

Re: Powering Multiple 'Foogers

Yeah, Power One it is...I looked again this morning, it's a Power One. I get a lot of Condor and Power One supplies on E-bay when I find a particularly good deal. I've never spent more than $80 on a power supply.

Re: Powering Multiple 'Foogers

Linear power supply, just a typical dual voltage adjustable Condor open frame supply. The fan provides 18 CFM and the supply requires 17 CFM to stay cool. It's dead silent. :)

Gunstock by Minwax is probably as close as you can get without mixing stuff...
