Ah the ol' rlmusic debate . . it's been going on for 3 years now. As a synth buyer I have bought privately, off Music Control . . and, shock horror, off RL Music. I say it depends on what you are buying, if you want a CS80, then stump up the money and buy one from RL. If you buy an 80 privately, you...

Well, Roland only made about 40 System 700's and given that a standard 6 unit set-up requires at least 2 power supplies . . if you were in need of one, you might have to pay that amount! I beleive Hans Zimmer bought RLMusic's 700 a few months ago for around £18,000.00 . . he now has 3! So there's a ...

email me offlist.

I have a Cherry Voyager Sig Edition (#86), boxed with gig bag that I might sell if I was offered the right price.

Jean-Jacques Perrey in concert

Hi all Here is a link to new concert footage of Jean-Jacques Perrey ( aged 78 ) that I shot in Berlin in Feb. http://www.mee3d.com/jjp/index.html Jean-Jacques is about to release a brand new "happy moog" album with help from a cool American chap called Dana Countryman . . full of brand new, old styl...

Hi Mal, long time no see! Yeah...recovering after a divorce last year. Just moved from London to Galway, trying to set up here (although all the synth collection in storage in london still!). Not been playing, composing or recording much as the studio is down, but working hard on the Jean-Jacques P...

Enough with the custom stand Adam . . that's like the 5th post over the years about a custom stand!!!

Whatever happened to the bed? . . . you probably have too many synths now I'm guessing.

The source has great looks, great name, and great sound, but that single knob just turns me right off. At least "The Little Phatty" has one knob per module. Yeah, but that knob was one hell of a knob . . smooth . . weighted . . . you could give it a twist and it would go on it's own, great for open...

I bought one last year for my Source - works a treat. Peel off the old one, clean up the surface with some isopropanol, poke the ribbon of the new membrane through the slot, unpeal the paper off the back and stick it down (best to carefully put some even weight on it for a day or two . . a few hardb...

RL gets about 2 Taurus 1's a year. They only buy from collectors or pro studio owners so the kit is normally in very good condition (not gigged). Then they spend many hours restoring them etc. So, as much as a 30 year old instrument that was designed to be stamped on can be in mint condition... thes...

You have to look at this in context. Anyone with an original mini (or similar) or a new Voyager is hardly going to look at this synth . . unless they have money to burn or they want a cheaper gigging synth (I used to take my Source out gigging but not my mini or Voyager). It is what it is . . a smal...

Great! I always liked The Source and here we have an "alpha dial" per section . . I only wish they had included dedicated cutoff and resonance knobs! For me, already having a large moog collection this will fit right into the space that was left when I sold my model D last year . . glad to be excite...

"chipforbrains" is a god send. I have had from him all sorts of great, hard to find stuff . . he even made me knobs for my Opus3 . . specially for me. I have had the membrane off of him and it works great . . very easy to put on (peel off the old one . . clean up the panel, slide the ribbons through...

When Rudi does the conversion to MM+ models he actually reverts the + features back to a standard MM (removing the sequencer and basic MIDI), so it's feasable for a LAMM MM to be both a standard MM and a MM+

Confusing I know but that might explain why some LAMMs have an A and B prefix?

Memorymoog #1109. Bought from Peter Forrest of the Book "A to Z of Analogue Synthesisers" (crazy British spelling!), It's the actual one in the photos within the book, and on the back cover. Beleived to have previously been owned by Bob Williams of 'Analogue Solutions'? Came to me non-functioning, b...
