- Topic: What do the Moogers think of the the Rhodes Chroma?

Up until very recently I owned three Chromas... now I'm back down to just the one but it sits under my memorymoog and Voyager quite nicely and complements both moogs well. I wouldn't get rid of it as I haven't been able to find another synth, either hardware or software that can replace it (please s...

I thought the Opus had no CV Gate, is that correct? Is it possible to add that on? Just wondering. I doubt it, as the Opus isn't a synth it's an organ. It uses divide down circuitry to get polyphony so even if it was possible to modify you would only get one note . . which note? Having opened an Op...

Welcome Dr T . . and thanks for the great review! what we really needed was someone with both instruments side by side as I could only comment from remembering what the multi sounded like (and Nick too). When I had all my moogs together (Prodigy, Source, Multimoog, Minimoog and Voyager SE), I was ab...

Each to their own I say . . and I have bought GREAT synths that turn out to be lemons . . and lemons, that turn out to be GREAT synths. If you can . . always go play the instrument before you buy it . . test all the knobs and buttons and make sure that it's the sound you are looking for . . ebay is ...

Hi Eric I sold my multimoog a few years back and I wish that I hadn't . . but at the time prices were rising and I got twice as much as I originally paid for it . . ho-hum. From what I remember, the multimoog sounded very different to my model D mini . . . on the face of it the multi has a load more...

Actually I disagree . . . I think, for a vintage sound, the Opus3 has some merits. Yes, it's not going to create strings as good as a modern workstation and it possibly doesn't sound as good as some of the ARP string machines that had dedicated filters and envelopes but there's a lot that can be don...

There are many people who will not even blink at the prices . . you think they are over the top then fine, you don't have to shop there. As I said before, it's all down to what you want to buy and your knowledge of it . . you say you can restore a Rhodes yourself - great, then you'll not need this s...
