Re: Maybe what they really should make next?
Well... Moog should just reissue the Model D Minimoog. To heck w/ polyphony. To heck with MIDI. Only change to the original I'd suggest is to add the some of the functionality of the CP-251 in there, particularly the lag and attenuator (though an extra LFO and S/H wouldn't hurt), and the 102 to boo...

Click on "Prophet Prophecy," to hear Dave Smith talk about DCO/VCO, still a bit vague but there's some interesting clips there.

Boss adapters are usually tip negative. The Moog adapters I have are tip positive. They should be 9V DC, my LPF adapter is 300mA, my FreqBox adapter is 500mA and the CP is 200mA (more milliamps are fine, you don't want the milliamps to be less than what the pedal requires). Also 1A=1000mA. Hope this...

with the lag processor on the cp-251 you can get portamento going on the 107. i haven't tried that yet with an audio signal, only the Pitch CV coming out of the voyager to control 107 pitch, but it might be worth a try... That was your point, right? i guess i don't really see what the point of glid...

You could get portamento going into the FreqBox CV input, but unfortunately not the audio input. If you ran the audio signal into the Lag processor then the FreqBox audio in the Lag processor would simply muffle the sound of the original audio signal (like a Low-Pass Filter). The FreqBox uses the au...

The MOTM manual suggests the reference tone be around A=440hz, that would make the lower frequency (2 octaves down) 110hz and the higher (2 octaves up) 1760hz. I suppose the logic is that anything too far above or below that might make it hard to hear accurately. I didn't use a frequency counter, I ...

FreqBox calibration/tuning
I finally hooked my FreqBox up to my modular and found that it wasn't tracking very well. I couldn't find information on here relating to how a person could calibrate their FreqBox so I called Amos today and he was very helpful. When you open up the back of the unit there are two white square trimme...

Why not a Minimoog Voyager OS? Once they did away with the digital side of things it didn't seem there'd be any reason to hunt down an old one. Is it nostalgia? Just curious why you prefer the Model D? I'd be a bit concerned about the lifespan of the original, parts becoming more and more scarce. Th...
