I too grew up listening to synth sounds, ELP, Larry Fast, etc etc. couldnt afford a moog when i was 13 in 1971 naturally. fooled around on an old upright piano i had, took a few lessons, never really learned to play but had fun experimenting. when the computer age came about with the IBM-XT i had on...

you can achieve bass lines that will turn concrete to powder with the phatty, i bought mine in 2006, never had one problem with it, probably the nicest synth ive ever played, it IS addictive, the Little Taurus patch Amos created is incredible! you can tweak it endlessly for some very cool bass sound...

garagebandking41 : i was unable to get 1.04T to load...tried a few diff apps (midiox, etc) it hung on the 2nd stage. no problem going back to 1.03Tc so doubtfuf it was my midi setup. Just one of those analog quirks no biggie i plan to do upgrade at some point also. 1.03Tc also has the Autotune featu...

the patch cords we use in telecommunications have built in tracer LEDs at each end push a button next to the jack on one end and the led flashes on the other end of the patch cord to locate easily in a rats nest of them lol...just a thought ;)

if you really wanted to you coud *gasp* rip apart your foogers and make front plates to mount all the knobs and jacks...that would give you a *real* Moog Modular drop the PCBs in a common sized framework and drop the whole shebang in chassis. power supply should be able to be had "off the shelf" use...

3-4 voice expander

I suggested a multi-voice expander some months ago..in this economy with respect to the numerous valid points you have made Kevin it seems to me would be a reasonably priced product that the "majority" of Moog synth owners would purchase. win-win for everyone. I'm no marketing genius or development ...
