Re: Voyager transposing issue

Voyager does have device ID parameter for sysex, but that won't solve the problem.

The best way to solve the problem is a MIDI filter on the output of the computer.

Re: Prodigy release trouble

Two different schematics out there and they both have different component designators.

The one service manual out there refers to only one of them. If you attempt to read the text describing designators while following the wrong schematic, your head will spin!

Re: what are the pitfalls of owming a memorymoog?

"Cost prohibitive" is a matter of perspective. While they can be expensive to maintain, they can sound GREAT. You have to decide if the price of admission is worth it. They CAN be overhauled to be very stable and stay in tune, but it is a lot of work. Not recommended for the novice DIYer. ...

Re: Sirin Circuit Board = Old Minitaur Stock?

The Sirin has expanded frequency range in the oscillators. Due to the inherent hardware limits of linear v/hz oscillators used in the Minitaur/Sirin, you can't expand the range with software. Since you can't expand the range without changing hardware components, it is highly unlikely they are old Mi...

Re: red connector with the 2 open holes on back of my modified minimoog

I don't think you are going to find a mating plug for that. Very likely that the safety agency of the country (IE UL in the US) has deemed it unacceptable for high voltage AC power. I can see safety/fire hazards with that type of interconnect. Just have it replaced with an IEC socket, that is a quic...

Re: New Look/Same forum?

I like it, but does anybody find it ironic that the color scheme resembles an ARP synth?

As for the sound and whether Moog nailed it I think the verdict is yes.

I brought my RA Moog Minimoog to the Moog store and yes the reissue did nail the sound.

Re: POLYMOOG NOT WORKING ANY MORE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recall that the instructions for Heinz's supply said not to power it without being connected to load. I could be wrong but that's what I remember reading back then without now tearing through my studio to find those instructions. Heinz's supply is a switching mode power supply and that is correct...

Re: Some Voyager OS Questions

3. What is the range of serial numbers affected by the faulty TI chip? Mine is serial no. 0573 and the previous owner of the synth actually had to change the mainboard because of the TI chip problem (broken oscillators). Since I got my OS in 2016 it works fine! Early Voyagers - such as my SE - had ...

Re: Some Voyager OS Questions

1. On some other Voyagers the filter did not track the glide, so that even if the oscillators would take a few seconds to move from one note to the next, the filter jumped there right away. Is this fixed in the Voyager OS? Should be, I helped Moog developed that fix. It became a production mod shor...

Re: POLYMOOG NOT WORKING ANY MORE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have the service manual with schematics? If so page 53 or 54 (near the very end of the manual) shows the original power supply schematic. While yours has been replaced by the Heinz power supply the 15 pin connector (P131) is identical. With this schematic I see pin 4 is -15V, pin 7 is +15V a...
