Re: moog taurus pedal-cap

During the 1970s/80s, Norlin Corporation owned Moog synths, Gibson guitars, Pearl drums, Lowrey home organs, many music brands. It was not uncommon for parts to be interchanged on products of any of the brands. Such is the case for the Moog Taurus 1 and Taurus 2, whose keycaps came from Lowrey organ...

I saw a picture of the inside of a vintage Moog Vocoder and there are no coils/inductors inside.

Re: Factory presets

I was going to suggest downloading the sysex files from the Moog website, but ones like the Voyager are no longer listed under "Legacy Products"...?!?

Re: Voyager rme accessories and testing

He probably did mean VX-351.

VX-351 is the output module and it is used for the Voyager and the RME.

The VX-352 is the input module and is only used on the RME.

Re: 1975 minimoog power supply issue

The Minimoog power supply is a Kelvin system. Each rail has force/sense lines. They must be terminated for the supply to function. If' your oscillator board isn't plugged in, the power supply won't work because that's where the force/sense lines terminate. The force line is an output source, the sen...

I left gearslutz years ago, long before it became behringerslutz. I do not approve of the moderators on the synth section.

My preferred places are Analogue Heaven, Music Player Keyboard Corner, MW, and Facebook.

Re: do the Moog One knob values "jump" when you move them, after loading a patch?

On all my hybrid synths (Voyager RME, Andromeda, Minitaur), I have to set them to pass thru when I gig with high volume PA. The vibrations from the PA can actually cause the wipers on the pots to move and the instrument will go into "self edit" thinking that the user moved a pot. Yikes! Y...

If all four buttons continue to blink then it isn't receiving any MIDI messages. You could have a bad MIDI cable, try another one.

Re: Voyager transposing issue

Voyager does have device ID parameter for sysex, but that won't solve the problem.

The best way to solve the problem is a MIDI filter on the output of the computer.

Re: Prodigy release trouble

Two different schematics out there and they both have different component designators.

The one service manual out there refers to only one of them. If you attempt to read the text describing designators while following the wrong schematic, your head will spin!
