well the plans i posted earlier is about as budget as you are going to get.
probably <$2 in parts and easy as hell to build.
It come from the doepfer MS-20 faq and specifically addresses the inverted trigger problem.

this document should be of help to you: http://www.doepfer.de/faq/gen_faq.htm#S-Trig In some devices only gate outputs are available (e.g. Doepfer MAQ16/3, Schaltwerk, Regelwerk, MCV24). This means that a positive voltage (e.g. +5V or +8V) is used to trigger the device controlled by the gate output....

I've tried the tuning procedure many times and it just makes no sense.
I think i posted about it here before and was basically told to RTFM.

c'mon ppl..

I wouldn't do it. Different impedance might ruin the circuits. Sorry, but this is incorrect. Patching audio into a CV input is the fundamental basis for frequency modulation. Its not only designed to handle it, but encouraged! Audio levels are *usually* 3v +/- and most of the voyager CV inputs have...

tuning problems for Etherwave Kit

Okay, i have been struggling with the calibration instructions in the hotroding manual and there are a few things that just dont make sense to me in regards to tuning L6 and L5. By ear I can tune this thing by ear to a pretty decent pitch range but the manual says i should try to get it so that the ...

the 102 doesn't seem to track as well though, unless i get a cp-251 involved; even then usually it falls apart after an octave max. not bad for bass, though. the 102 tracks just fine, just remember its linear (hz/v) not exponential (oct/v) so you have to compensate with an attenuator. The 'lord of ...

yup, it will do this from a midi keyboard without the vx-351 no problem, just crank the 'KB Cont Amount' to full and have fun. I would also recommend taking it a step further by using the filter EG on the voyager instead of the fitler EG on your source keyboard. The EG will of course be triggered by...

I have tried a few different cables and the result is the same. As a test to be sure i 'looped back' the mixout/filtin cable to itself and it maintains the same gain level, but when it is looped through the RM or my mooger LP filter it seems to drop the gain to about half what it should be with the ...

drive level on loop?

I've been fooling around with my mix out/filt in loop and a MF-102 ring mod for my voyager. I noticed that when i plug it in, if the drive is at 0 there is a SIGNIFICANT gain reduction. When i try to bring the drive up to meet the gain level of how it sounds with nothing plugged into the loop, the s...

You could even process the Voyager through the Ion filters for some sonic fun ("Heresy", you say – sure, but it's nice to know you could if you wanted to!) ooooh.. thats a good idea... i already do something similar CV out for filt env going to my MS-20 using the mixout/filt in loo...

Wookie & chinard: How do your Ion and Voyager get along (sonically, not socially....)? Do you find them complimentary in your rig? <3 my ion out of all the VA's i've had this one is hands down sounds and acts the most like a real analog. (it even simulates analog drift between vco's) Its real s...
