Thanks everyone for your input. And a very good point about the pot mapping (per patch) of the LP. It would be rare that you would need more than four pots as well as other assignable controllers including foot devices withing a patch on a programmable synth. YOu could even write successive patches ...

This is a new pro audio line from JBL professional. Long awaited. The SRM450's no longer feature RCF speaker components. They are a different animal now.

iN NEED OF EXPERT ADVICE FROM REAL MOOGERS
about a year ago I purchased a Minimax ASB VA Moog thining it would be a substitute for a real Minimoog. It had patch memory, midi, etc. Well, it's not in the same league, (thin sounding). I also own an SH5, a Chroma Polaris, and an MKS 80 and a couple of JX8p's. They all dominate that Minimax in ...

That solo on Heart's first album is more than a patch. It's a work of art. Probably in the top ten synth solo's of all time easily. showcasing the minimoog brilliantly from tasteful and dynamic LFO modulation to amazing portamento, but the brilliance is the execution. Another comparable solo would ...

I recently purchased a Minimax along with a few other VA synths such as a Virus B and a Nord modular. ting back into making electronic music and soundscapes. )
I guess my point of the thread is, I really want a genuine MOOG instrument. I mean a real Mini moog. I'm willing to spring for a Voyager ...

i'd also add the studio electronics se1x to the above list since this is basically a minimoog in a rack-mount enclosure and has a design goal of sounding like a minimoog. it will certainly sound more like a minimoog than the phatty since it has three oscillators. i'm not sure it's enough cheaper ...

virtual moggs
Hello, I'm new to the forum. I own a number of synthesizers (unfortunatley none of them a moog).
I'm not a live performer anymore, do all of my compostion in my studio so I was looking into virtual synths specifically something that would emulate the sound of the mini moog. None of my other synths ...

knobs
My only concern with the LP as opposed to the Voyager is the lack of dedicated knobs for each function. It's really nice to be able to just grab a parameter and instantly make a change. But who knows, it might not be that big a deal once a person gets accustomed to it. The Voyager just seems so much ...
