Re: MF101 - modification for separate audio signal to env.fo

So I tried this mod, exactly as described, however applying signal to R5 doesn't seem to do anything. If I send it a CV, it works. Am I missing something? Do I need to attach a ground wire from the jack as well? Hmmm... Applying an audio signal into R5 should work... of course, any signal input, au...

Exactly :!:

Congratulations on getting that Voyager. 8)

That’s such a cool story, truly epic :!:

And what a great way for Moog Music to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Voyager with this fantastic giveaway…

Re: And the Gold Minimoog winner is...

Congratulations tommyecho :!: You are such a freaking lucky dog :!: I wanted to win that “Golden” Voyager so badly… But, I’m glad that at least another Moog fan and synthesist actually won it. It would have been an absolute shame if someone won it who didn’t even know what a music synthesizer ...

Re: freqbox sync detune?

An interesting idea! I don’t think there is a simple way to detune a FreqBox in sync mode. But you could use a pitch shifter fx on the output of one FreqBox to get a similar detuned type sound. Or maybe even drive the input of a second FreqBox with a pitch shifted signal. Many digital fx units have ...

Providing this separate input for the envelope follower is such a handy and low cost MF-101 mod – Moog Music should consider this as new feature for all new MF-101 pedals…

Re: MG-1 (or Rogue) Freq. drift

Although undesirable, it is normal for the pitch to drift after the key is released. I modified my MG-1 to do the note “track-and-hold” better, but the pitch will still slowly drift. A trick: I use a “D cell” 1.5V battery to hold a white key down. It is the right weight and shape, and it can be easi...

Re: nord lead 2x through mf101?

Here is my Nord Modular G2X modified to use a MF-101 as an external analog filter module for monophonic patches: http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-12266.html Yes, you need to have CV into the MF-101 filter cutoff for EG, LFO, etc. modulation for best results. Better to run your Nord Lead digital ...

Re: MF-101 Control Voltage question

Re: MF-101 Control Voltage question

I just checked, and correct me if I'm wrong, but...isn't 20Hz - 12kHz about a 10 octave range? I have done some maths. I might be totally wonky in what I'm doing, but check it out. N = Octaves above; F = Frequency (2^N) x 10 = F Solve for N N = ((Log F) - 1)/Log 2 Therefore: N = ((Log 12,000Hz)-1)/...

Re: MF-101 Control Voltage question

The Cutoff CV response is about 1V/octave, which I believe is logarithmic (it is non-linear). But, a 0 to +5V CV input only sweeps the cutoff frequency about half of the range and is added to the freq setting of the Cutoff knob. For example, if you set the Cutoff knob to minimum 20Hz and change Cuto...

Re: The Lowpass Filter Catch-22

Here´s a way that doesn´t need a mod or another pedal. Try connecting env-out with amount-in (or for an even bigger effect cut-off-in) on the MF-101, and switch to smooth. This enhances the envelope effect, even if the amount knob is on ten. You could even say it exaggerates it because the amount e...

Re: Voyager envelope too clicky?

Hi 8875, welcome to the Moog Music Forum :!: Your Voyager is not faulty. It is just a fact of physics – any fast envelope amplitude (volume) transients will cause what is perceived as clicks, and as you have noticed, these clicks are more evident with bass patch sounds that don’t have very much high...

Re: Getting Midi to my Old Moog

According to Doepfer’s FAQ:

http://www.doepfer.de/faq/gen_faq.htm#S-Trig

There is a jumper that you can set to change the standard gate output to an s-trigger output for your MiniMoog.
