Re: Tuning Scales - how to make'm stick!?
I realize the Subs are a bit old now, but too bad this forum isn't as active as other synths. Perhaps I just missed the window of deep discussion on it. Maybe i'll try FB.

Tuning Scales - how to make'm stick!?
Hi everyone.
Just exploring the too-often ignored menu guts of my sub37. I'm intrigued by the Tuning Scale within GLOBAL parameters. But when I cycle through the options, I hear no difference. Anyone know why?
Thanks!
Paul

Re: Model D Reissue Pitch Wheel Mod (Like Grandmother!)
The Model D pitch wheel is so sad. I can’t imagine many people (even the purists) would have argued with an upgrade to the original design. “WTF, Moog! The original pitch wheel was useless, but this new one totally works like almost every other keyboard of the last 45 years! THIS SUCKS!” Such a beau...

Re: Aftertouch in MIDI?
Indeed, I’ve certainly done that as well, iaamusic. That works fantastically for certain applications / styles of music. But the aftertouch on the reissue — when the trim is set properly — can be a very expressive, even subtle source of variety and modulation. Synthesizers are too rarely responding ...

Re: Aftertouch in MIDI?
Cool. Of course the vintage Model D’s didn’t have the capacity for aftertouch. I’m quite pleased with what the reissues can do on their own w MIDI — reading notes, clock, arpeggios, etc. But yeah, adding aftertouch to the MIDI capability would be sensational.

Re: Subsequent 37: Assign Aftertouch to Filter
Hi Demon Dan. You are a very friendly Demon, Dan. I really appreciate your comments. I hate to tumble backwards back into the noob womb, but could you be more specific about how to do these first two steps? 1. Make the MOD Source CONSTANT (always on) 2. Make the Destination FILTER Where are these pa...

Subsequent 37: Assign Aftertouch to Filter
Hi guys -- I seem to be getting very very old. For the life of me I cannot recall how to simply assign aftertouch to affect the FILTER . Not one of the LFOs, just the filter. Could someone please remind me? And could you hurry? I seem to be aging extremely rapidly, and I don't know much time I have ...

Re: Aftertouch in MIDI?
Thanks Analog Prophet. I really appreciate the response. The Kenton Pro Solo sounds like a good option, although I've read that a lot of people experience a strange "digital whine" when using it. There certainly seem to be a lot of options -- the 2000, the USB model, etc. Essentially, if p...

Re: Aftertouch in MIDI?
Without question, Ian! And I most appreciate that. I just got so excited when I saw my DAW receiving the aftertouch info as I was recording. But alas, upon playback, the Model D can’t READ that info. I was wondering tho... I’m admittedly not a MIDI ninja... is there ANY way to make it happen? would ...

Aftertouch in MIDI?
Oh woe! It seems the Model D can send aftertouch info in MIDI, but alas, cannot receive that aftertouch info? Suuuuuuch a bummer!

Re: Model D Reissue Oscillator Mod Switch Changes Pitch
Hey Marky. Indeed, the filter mod switch causes a pretty signifanct change. Your thoughts are a little worrisome, as it sounds like my machine may need some tech attention — not too many where I live. Next time I’m in the studio, I’ll do my best to hear if there is any mod wheel bleed — say in the L...

Re: Model D Reissue Oscillator Mod Switch Changes Pitch
Cheers, Marky I’ve been in touch w Alexander (the Muse guy). Together we realized that the FILTER mod switch causes an even larger jump. You can hear it if you make it self-oscillate (w no Osc on), and then hit the switch. The Muse is an admittedly expensive fix for this particular issue (tho I love...

Re: Model D Reissue Oscillator Mod Switch Changes Pitch
Hi guys. I’m also searching for a solution to this issue (activating the Osc Mod switch affects the pitch by about a quarter tone). I was momentarily excited to see the link about the Muse. But clicking over, I didn’t actually see anything about this issue on the Muse website. That mod seemed more g...

Oscillator Modulation switch -- problem? (w. video)
Hi guys - Wondering if something is slightly in need of calibration on my Model D. When I activate my Osc Mod switch -- even if my mod wheel is at 0 -- I notice the slightest drop in pitch. Has anyone else noticed this? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Also, if interested, I've attached a ...
