Re: Moog One inbound UK!
Mines arriving tomorrow- studio tidy up today, fresh coffee ordered, manual already read, songs awaiting to be recorded. This is a good day! :D Enjoy! I received mine last week, and have put no less than 2 hours in each day since!! Found it best to start slow.. haven't even touched the sequencer/ar...

Re: Moog One Bugs
What's the point of latching until the end of time and never being able to release it (even after changing a patch)??? What possible application could there be?? I think the application is to have a drone/tonal base underneath other notes? From the manual: "Setting the LATCH button to On holds...

Re: Moog One Bugs
I've already sent an e-mail about these but it doesn't hurt to post them here to see if others are experiencing the same issues. • INIT PATCH, when in MONO/1 VOICE mode, if you turn SYNC, LOOP and LATCH 'ON' in the AMP ENV section, you can hear additional voices playing. EG Loop and latch are very ...

+1 on simpler means for spread per voice. - EXPERT mode where standard envelope routing is disabled, potentially other hard routings that don't relate to a fixed panel control? - Calibration!! I consider this a bug. Pitch never really stabilises on my one, and doubtful that a meaningful calibration ...

Re: Moog One Bugs
Not so convenient to have to disable FX to change a patch without artifacts. On my Access Virus, I can change a patch while a note(s) is/are sounding. That note and its associated FX will finish its cycle uninterrupted, while I can simultaneously start playing the new patch. Seamless! That's what I...

Great question! I would also like feedback on this from an engineer's point of view.

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests
Step sequencer - Step value interpolation for mod lanes.... Envelopes - Delay value at end of cycle for looping envelopes (DAHDSRD) to control loop speed and still be able to have the downbeat arrive on time. "expert mode" features for envelopes and LFOs Envelopes - If possible, user-sele...

https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/77/a5/93/108d90f0f00228/WO2015112845A9.pdf Skimming through the patent documentation for the variable core oscillator in the Moog One, I can't see anything that would indicate that total separation/crossfading of waveshapes wouldn't be possible. Couldn't t...

Re: so many bugs, and no arrival date.
I agree with you in a way, and it's a frustrating thought as the Moog One would so nicely round out my studio for the foreseeable. On the one hand, I'm totally convinced that the Moog team want to do right by the product. This is evident in the sheer amount of effort and time they spent soliciting i...

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests
OOH maybe ableton link integration (but would require being able to plug in a wi-fi host somehow?)

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests
1) Sine waves pre-modulation for cleaner FM 2) FM across synth layers (but I guess you could try this with the inserts?) 2) Multiple (even just 2) effects per synth w/serial or parallel options (seems like the screen is implying this for later) 3) Animation of waveshapes on Osc LCD + Osc More Panel ...

Re: Moog One vs Other Polysynths
The things I'm missing in the Moog are never things I'd ask an analog subtractive synth to do. I mean, yeah! All the weird flavours of digital FM available (smooth like MODX and not smooth like others), sampling stuff, granular stuff. Swarms of sine waves, wavetables all just great in digital / soft...

Re: Moog One TRANSFORM Requests
+1 on Slew/Lag/etc. with the addition of having lag curves (log, exp, lin) as it would allow replication of traditional glide functions, but also allowing us to get loads of 'curves' from the existing modulation sources. I'd also like other static scaling functions, and thinking of a similar list to e...
