Doc....this is very subjective, but i think the LP suits your style so much more than the Evolver.

Your style asks a lot.....and the LP can produce! I'm not saying the Evolver cannot, but it doesn't quite have the "in ya face" sound of the LP (and i'm not talking about the harsh digital in your ...

Jiggz, Waveform modulation isn't the same thing as additive synthesis - those are entirely two different concepts.

Yeah, i know..... it's poor man's additive synthesis. I think you would need a wall sized modular to even attempt additive synthesis.....and i emphasize the word attempt heavily ...

Yep, this is the Moog - Ladder filter.

There are some Ladder filter designers that build Q compensation into the filter so there is no drop in level with high resonance values.
The Oakley systems Superladder has this ability:

You will also save a lot of cash if you pick up something like an SH-09 and you will also get all the fun and extra sounds that come with it!

Hey, i have an RS-09 and the CP251.

The CP251 i use in conjunction with the other Moogerfoogers and other modular stuff i have, but i will tell you now that the CP251 will be of very little use to you if you are thinking of buying it to just use in conjunction with the RS-09.

Do you have anything connected to the carrier in jack?
If something is connected to this jack without the other end being connected to anytrhing, then you are likely to get the buzzing sound you talk about.
If not, and you are only using the audio input and output jacks, then you may have a fault ...
