Hi - fell kind of hard for the E1, now have 2 of them. I like what I hear from them, but I agree with some others that the "pickup" part of the pickups (for regular playing, versus the "Vo Power" and "Moog filter" parts of the pickups) could be improved.

Have any of you compensated by using an EQ ...

I know this is an old post, but did you ever sell it?

Just picked up an E1 on eBayband waiting for delivery.

I know it shipped with 11s; I don't want to work that hard so I want to set it up with 9s.

So where can I get the Moog-specific strings nowadays?

And are they even really necessary? Anybody experience any real difference with Ernie Balls or D ...
