I just finnaly played the LP for the first time a couple weeks ago at a Sam Ash (or something) here in NY. I was astounded at how great it sounds. I think it is far superior to either Prodigy or (especially)Rogue. It's different.... it's fuller, "phatter" if you will, which isn't always a...

I support the use and creation of alternate controllers! I would LOVE to have a massive ribbon controller, myself. So you like ribbon controllers, eh? Ever heard of the Haken Continuum? Check this out: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Mrmp2EaVChI Now that is a ribbon controller. Not a bad keyboard player...

#1023 Port Orchard, Wa :D Btw, there's still one more LP (pristine demo model) down at Centaur Guitar in Portland, OR! Just out of curiosity, where are they? I live in Portland and have never heard of them...... I checked out Centaur Guitar today as I was in the area. Typical little independant gui...

OK, I am new to the Moogerfooger club, but was considering the purchase of a CP-251 to go along with my LP.

Does the new OS make the purchase of a CP-251 unwarranted?

I have heard numerous complaints about the LP's knobs, calling them loose and wobbly. I have experience with only one LP (mine) but the knobs feel fine on mine. I certainly would not call them loose. They do wobble a bit if you apply some sideways pressure to them, but I have never found the small a...

HOLY CRAP :D I'll second that!! This eliminates what I originally believed to be the only glaring errors in the LP. Still can't believe that they are doing this. If you don't already have a Voyager, (or Model D) there now is no reason not to buy a Little Phatty. Moog deserves to make tons of money ...

If you aren't aware of the story; the first 15 LP's had some real hardware problems and were basically recalled. I've got 0007. No problems at all. Yeah, that is kind of weird that you got such an incredibly low serial number so late in the game. It is also kind of strange that you don't have any p...

First of all, I gotta tell you that I don't know an opamp from a pre-amp or a boat ramp.

I am just glad to see you back on this board occasionally Kevin. It is great that you can spend the time giving advise now and again.

“By the time they make 2500 Tributes and start on the Studio version, I would expect that you could drop the LP off a truck and it would still work fine. I have only seen something like #800 checked in on this forum. They have a lot more Tributes to go! “ :) Unless they made an additional 1,300 Tri...

Back to the main question...the LP's reliability. If you aren't aware of the story; the first 15 LP's had some real hardware problems and were basically recalled. I have LP Tribute number 245 and I haven't had a whisper of trouble except for the noted software bugs, and these haven't really been a p...

Remember, too, that the note priority function of the LP has a bug in it, so the note priority will act differently depending on what octave you have set the synth for. This was driving me nuts when I first got my LP as it always behaved differently depending on the patch. As it turned out, it wasn'...

Knobs are way sexier than sliders ...so poo on you. :P I don't mind knobs, particularly the sexy ones on the LP. The LP knobs also make it easier to get a visual on their setting, but that advantage is kind of eliminated with the multi function knobs. A one knob per function synth with those new LP...

On a 2600, everything's in front of the user and there is usually an adjacent attenuator or control for a jack. Even if all the "modules" were there via the Moog gear, patching them up isn't done in the same intuitive, visual way. I could take a photo of a 2600 and come close to many patc...
