It looks like a Minimoog Model D to me...with the vinyl face cover removed. The knobs look to be in the correct spots for a model D....but I don't see the switches. Maybe just because the screen is too small. The cabinet definitely looks like a Mini D, and so does the flip up "box". No mor...

LP Tribute Edition is available

Hey everyone. If anyone is looking for a new LP Tribute Edition, there is one still available in Portland, Oregon. I was doing my Father's Day music store shopping this weekend and was surprised to see one for sale in a used guitar store. This is from an Authorized Moog Dealer, but they deal more wi...

Re: Imagine

Imagine all the people... Definitely no virtuoso solo's in this hit of the Beatles, and I don't think anybody ever compared Ringo to Max roach or Buddy Rich, but he got the job done. my 2 cents You bring up a great example woodenturn. Pete Best, the Beatles original drummer, was dismissed because h...

Sorry if I seem mean here, but while it is nice to have the LP getting some exposure, it is too bad it is not being used by someone who can play it. I know tons of people that can play that thing like a Stradivarius, but can't make a buck doing it. Then you have a guy making the big bucks just bang...

I have both, and love them both, but the LP is getting more of my attention. Except for the "sequencer" and arpeggiator, the LP will do everything that the Source will do and more (now that S&H has been added). Since you can't sync either mode with MIDI, they are pretty much useless in...

Mininmoog model D on top of that (when it's not in the shop - it's a bit too old tour around with). A properly serviced and maintained Mini should have no problem being toured with. My God, Kevin! You just can't go around passing on information such as this. How can we keep justifying the purchase ...

Club of the Knobs. I could be WAY off base here as sometimes my memory is sketchy, but I seem to remember that a VERY WELL REGARDED synth tech was approached to sell these in the US. In the end he was not pleased with the quality, or the companies customer service. You might want to check around bef...

Don't you just love a music director with VISION!!! My son had such a teacher in high school, and what a differance it has made in his life. Hats off to this teacher. My GAWD....Moogs, ELP...... I would have been a "band geek" if we had a teacher like this at my high school. Very inspiring.

I agree that reverb, at least, is essential to the LP, or any synth for that matter. Delay, at the proper time, makes it just that much better. In the old days, to get the proper Minimoog sound it was always considered necessary to run through a reverb and maybe a delay. I think that Moog might sell...

The problem exists when I have Oscillator Modulation or Filter Modulation in the on position. It goes away when these are off. It sounds like you have the same problem that I have with my Mini. Whether these switches are on or not, I don't think that you should hear any modulation when the mod wheel...

As long as we are on the topic of ailing Minimoog Model D's.. My little baby is starting to show her age, and there are two problems that I am noticing. The first issue has been around for a long time--maybe for as long as I have had her...I don't remember. There is a "signal bleed through"...

welcome to analog...... Some synths are usually better than others. My Minimoog D is pretty much spot on from the moment that I turn on the switch. My Sourse is absolutely unusable for the first 10 minutes until it warms up. My LP seems pretty much in tune from the moment that I turn it on. My Andro...
