Re:

I smell a money pit. I have a rule that I never buy damaged gear (especially synths) unless I know the problem and I know I can fix it.

Unless you have a couple more thousand dollars burning a hole in your pocket, I say no way. Those thing are so big and complex, who knows what could be wrong with ...

Re: REVIVING THIS TOPIC TO "SECOND GUESS" THIS ADV

I simply cannot believe that no one suggested this guy BUY THAT 2600! $1350 USD?!?! WITH A SEQUENCER!?!? "Not working" even so. A money pit? That would be a golden opportunity indeed. If the synth was complete and you had to, you could sell the sequencer and pay for all the repairs! But you wouldn ...

Not sure what you meant (i.e. I knew that and have already sent in $3500 worth of equipment)....I can't get a reply from his email (*i.e. have sent numerous emails and no response) and his phone is disconnected...

So short of taking a plane (to where in Georgia?) I have no idea how to get my Arp ...

Phil Cirocco is 'The Go To Source' for any repair/mod for all vintage ARP instruments. I have a 1973 vintage ARP 2600 ('Grey Meanie') that was inoperative for quite a number of years until I sent it to Phil for the repairs and modifications. ...

I found this whilst cruising other forums...I'm looking to build one of my own.

Extra's needed:

PatchBay - I ordered a 48 input.

Note that the lower level has 4 MF, not 3...the standard MF Rack kit only hosts 3...so this may be a creative endeavor to mount.

I also spotted the MF and CP has ...

Hey Spacefuzz!

highly recommend the 101. I've used it in Protools (software version) for the last 6 months and the effects are nothing short of amazing.

I've always been pleased with the sonic results, but will be amazed (I'm sure) once I can patch them together using the VC inputs.

Of note this year at NAMM, we asked at the booth about software updates to the Andromeda and none of the staff knew about any engineers on it. In fact one actually said it's not likely...with that in mind, I bought my Voyager in lieu of an Andromeda as it appears (based solely on the Alesis staff we ...

I'd be more inclined to say nearing a 50 year courtship :-)...I dreamed of owning a Minimoog back in 1972 at the tender age of 12...I was the son of a hard working dad that could barely afford a $40 Sears guitar...so it was so far out of reach...

For many years, I've played synths and toyed with a ...
