Building simple analog synths...

Hello everyone. I've started looking into the possibility of building a very basic analog synthesizer with a single oscillator, no filters, etc. Just wondering if anyone else here knows anything about this and/or could refer me to some books, sites, etc. I realize this will be a long process, I'd ju...

Favorite synth solos!!

List your favorite synth solos, artist and song/album. (sorry if this topic has been posted already, I ran a search and didn't find it.) Some of my current faves are: Aloha-The Sound Between The Dismemberment Plan-The City (not really a solo, just a cool sound throughout the song.) Steve Winwood-The...

I never thought of the backlight adding an unwanted noise to the output. I'm willing to risk it though, I'm sure it would be quite minimal if anything. All I'm hoping is that the sound design possibilities of the instrument live up to what I'm imagining they will!

Any Elektron Sidstation owners here?

Hello everyone!

I'm the proud owner of a Sidstation and I'm looking towards purchasing a Voyager (Anniversary) in the next month or so...Anyone have any good experiences inter-twining these two synths and layering their respective tones? What sequencers are you running with them?

Cheers!

Nearing the end of 2004 = Anniversary edition running out?

I'm starting to get a little nervous...I'd probably better just suck it up and order one by the next month or so...anyone else in the same boat?

actually,

Actually, I wish there was an option on the anniversary edition to turn the whole console into a chaotic rainbow flash-fest. There are times when this would be exceptionally cool. However, I'd be hesitant to take an AE onto a stage, so the effect would have to be enjoyed in the home studio. sigh.
