Re: Matriarch: Completely new to modular stuff...questions

Hi, Thanks for the reply! 1. I thought the mod amount knob was specifically for the mod wheel? Or were you implying connect the mod wheel to aftertouch and then use the knobs to adjust it? If I did that, then the mod wheel couldn't be used for anything else. So it seems one of the attenuators is the...

Matriarch: Completely new to modular stuff...questions

Alright, so originally my plan was to purchase a used Moog Voyager Old School. This is still an option, however I am wondering if the Matriarch would be worth considering. My needs are for a great live performance synth. I play jazz fusion, funk, etc. I have owned the Subsequent37 and it sounded gre...

Re: Some Voyager OS Questions

I believe the OP is referring to the standard Voyager where the shaping signal provides additional gain to the source signal. If the mod amount knob is set to 0 or the wheel/pedal is set at minimum then the shaping controllers have no affect, i.e. no modulation. Of course anything but 0 then you ge...

Some Voyager OS Questions

I'm really interested in picking up a Voyager Old School once one shows up for a good price again (missed a few nice deals sadly.) However since I can't test first I have some questions. 1. On some other Voyagers the filter did not track the glide, so that even if the oscillators would take a few se...

Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital, Analog)

I now have the Nemesis delay and it is amazing. No clipping and great stereo sounds. I'll have to replace some of the stock engines with others on the app and then it will be perfect. Noise Tape is my favorite of the 12 stock engines so far, I think. Haven't tried replacing the stock engines in my ...

Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital, Analog)

Hey pcx9, thanks for your detailed post! And welcome to the forum :) Thanks! I figured it may be useful for some, as several of those pedals have no synth / keyboard usage info anywhere online. Especially the cheaper ones. Also, I now have the Nemesis delay and it is amazing. No clipping and great ...

Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital, Analog)

Already have a Source Audio Nemesis on the way and cannot wait! +1. The Nemesis makes a great synth pedal, but the tiny PS that comes with it iffy - sometimes works, sometimes not (my experience). Make sure you have an alternate handy (a Boss PS works). :D Thanks! I'll be using it on an isolated po...

Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital, Analog)

Here are the experiences I have had. All pedals tested with a Moog Subsequent 37. AMT Japanese Girl Wah: Clips fairly easily, but it seems like most wah pedals do this unfortunately. It also has a fairly high resonance, which makes the wah very pronounced but the low end can get a little boomy or cr...
