Yah that makes sense. I was trying to avoid putting together a small euro or 5U case for Midi - CV but it looks like all the best options (other than the Kenton) are in that format. So I'm sure that's the direction I'll end up going.

Are any of you interfacing your 15/35/55/IIIC with MIDI? How are you doing it? I bought a couple V-Trig to S-Trig DOTCOM cables to use withe my Model 15 and was thinking about getting a Kenton Midi to CV converter. Anything I should look out for?

Glad to see that there are people who are able to compare the 15 with some other contenders out there. Would love to do that some time. I'm still on my Honeymoon phase, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I was surprised as to how different, smooth, but still raw and alive the sound was. I'...

Update: So I'm going to send in my 953 for a repair which bums me out.. but its ok. I contacted Moog and they were super helpful and quick to respond and are paying for shipping etc, so not that big a deal. This stuff happens. BUT, the reason I'm posting is I did get a final word on what octave is D...

Got my 953 a couple days ago and I’m having the exact same issue as dingebre with my Model 15, how was this solved exactly? By calibrating the controller over and over until the calibration works? Also, did we ever decide what octave was the correct octave to hold down the D?
