Re: Sub37 - defining MIDI output range for knobs and buttons

If you have a Windows machine, I believe the free program MIDI-OX will do the simple range mapping that you want. I don't think it can resolve your on/off button issue, though, because that probably requires being able to store a state variable to keep track of and trigger the desired on/off event. ...

Re: MIDI Sync when plugging into another keyboard

Seems like an oversight to not document that in the manual or an extra addendum sheet or an online document. It's such basic MIDI functionality. And I don't see that 1.0.4 update listed anymore in the download section so those notes are not even available online anymore. Speaking of which, are there...

MIDI Sync when plugging into another keyboard

I was really struggling to get the Sub 37 arp/seq to sync directly to a couple of my other keyboards that have arpeggiators and sequencers. I would have another keyboard playing some sequence and generating MIDI sync, I would turn on the Sub 37 Sync button, press a key, and nothing, just silence. Af...

Re: velocity sensitivity sub 37

I only notice this on the black keys. ... I definitely also notice it on white keys and have confirmed using MIDI-OX that I reach max velocity without even playing very hard. It is always harder to control the touch of one's playing on a synth action vs. a weighted keyboard, but having the velocity...

Re: velocity sensitivity sub 37

Sorry to bump up this old thread but I'm a new Sub 37 owner and this is the first thing I noticed when I tried to use velocity. It is hard to control the dynamics because the velocity maxes out very easily. The response is compressed so that all dynamic control is between very soft to medium playing...

Beefing up lower bass notes using keyboard tracking

New Sub 37 owner here. I have been trying to create some bass patches where the lowest playable notes still have a good amount of oomph (perceived volume) compared to the notes an octave or two above. Usually the lowest note would be the typical low C for bass (i.e. the C below the E of an electric ...

Did you make that up? :) I'm just a new Sub 37 owner but I don't see that in the manual.

Re: Sub 37 waveshape oscillator's

The SUB requires more gain to produce the same amplitude as the OSCs. An important detail. A different volume/amplitude can change the perceived quality of the sound. I agree, use an oscilloscope if you want to get exact. Same goes for the sawtooth wave. When I was first doing this, I plugged my Su...
