Re: Rush Bass/ Default Start Program
Thanks for that link, hieronymous! Lots of interesting stuff there! Personally, I've been using the Keith McMillen 12STEP because of it's power and portability. I'm very happy with it: https://www.keithmcmillen.com/products/12-step/ I simply don't have room on my floor for true Taurus pedals with al...

Re: Rush Bass/ Default Start Program
I've been meaning to do this tutorial for Tom Sawyer for a while: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnEg0wEJMDo The comments section seems to point out an OBX was linked to the Taurus but this tutorial gets pretty darn close. I just got the new firmware this AM. I'll play around with it tonight and se...

Re: Opening Ableton -program change
I believe this is Ableton loading the setup from the software. All of my synths with editors do this (DSI stuff too). It is mildly annoying. I've just gotten used to resetting all the hardware to a "basic" patch after starting Ableton. I should create a new startup template that has the ba...

Re: Moog Sub 37 configuration for Ableton Live 9 and Cubase
These are dynamite combinations of synth and software! I just look at the Sub 37 Editor as a really nice bonus... It's not perfect but adds so much to an already killer analog synth. Hope you are enjoying it. Let me know if you have further questions... I've been around the block with all of these. ...

Re: Sub37 Electrical Hum Issue
I was having the same problem, low-level buzzing. I'm running the Sub into some MFs so the TRS trick didn't work for me. Fixed it with an Ebtech Hum X on the AC line. Super quiet now!

Re: Stomp Box Pedals that Work With Synths (Digital, Analog)
I just grabbed a Boss CE-2W (Waza Craft Chorus) after a LONG search for a good chorus pedal. I am blown away by it and very satisfied. I was looking for something that could get me close to that ultra-fat bass sound from the Roland Junos. Research indicated the circuits are very similar and fully an...

Re: Moog Prodigy Advice
Haha... sometimes those suckers can be of serious value. I scored my Rev 1 Prodigy for $15 because the owner thought it was dead. Filter was closed and he didn't understand the instrument. Do I feel guilty? Slightly... but if you don't know what you've got, you don't really deserve it... Just my two...

Re: Minitaur not recognized by mac
It should show up in SysEx Lib dropdown simply as "In" ...Select that and follow the update procedure. This took me a bit to figure out but now works flawlessly.
And yes, it is not an Audio device, just a MIDI device so you will not see it in any Coreaudio options.
Hope this helps!

Re: HELP!!! Moog Minitaur cant update firmware.
For some reason the Minitaur only shows up as "In" in SysEx Lib's dropdown list. Selecting this, I was able to successfully update the firmware following the steps in the TXT file. To actually get the editor to connect to the Minitaur you have to select it from the MIDI I/O dropdowns under...

Re: Minitaur wont show up in Sysex tool via Usb
I just did mine on a Macbook, running El Capitan, same issue. I finally figured out that it shows up in Midi Devices as "Minitaur" but in SysEx Lib simply as "In" ...Selecting this port successfully updated the Minitaur.

Re: LCD protective covering?
Beautiful! Awesome module! I wish I'd know that trick last night... My fingers are a bit numb this morning. But my year old Sub looks better than ever, so impressive! Usually I spot these coatings right away (like on the Sequential Pro-6 nameplate) but the Moog stuff just looked so good out of the b...

LCD protective covering?
So, after receiving my new Minitaur this week, I noticed what I thought was a scratch on the top of the cutoff knob. I then realized it was a protective plastic layer that peels off... I then discovered that ALL of my recent Moog devices (including MiniFs!) had the same plastic covering on all the k...

Re: Sub37 Editor in Ableton Setup
What platform are you on? Mac installer puts it in kind of a weird location. Also, make sure you are using the version that corresponds with the bit version of Ableton you are using (32/64)... I'm on 64 bit...

Re: Sub37 Editor in Ableton Setup
Sorry for the delay... Holidays kept me away from my toys... The way I setup a session with the editor (and I came up with this on my own, before reading any of the myriad of ways online) is as follows: I drag the Sub37 editor into the blank space and it creates a new rack. I then create a new MIDI ...

Re: Sub37 Editor in Ableton Setup
How are you trying to run it? I've got it going, without the External Instrument. I don't have it in front of me right now but I can check my setup later. I know I had to disable the "Both" MIDI setting on the Sub37 and set it to "USB" otherwise the VST would not connect to the S...
