Voyager Pot Mapping & MIDI
I have an Electric Blue Minimoog Voyager. I am trying to sequence the factory patch B:125 Velocity SquareDrumz with my Octatrack, but it doesn't respond to the velocity parameters being sent. I looked at the patch, and it's using Pot Mapping to modulate several parameters with the velocity. Am I to ...

Re: Patch comparison mode?
Yeah, I'm on 3.5. I suppose I should upgrade, but I thought 3.6 was in beta.
But I'm wondering, what happens when you're just playing around in the usual playing mode, and you press the Cursor button?

Re: Patch comparison mode?
Ok, I've figured out that I can go into "Compare to Preset" in the edit menu and compare them pretty easily, and, like you say, you have to exit with the edited patch selected or else you'll have to recall. On the other hand, if I'm in the normal mode and I hit cursor accidentally, it swit...

Re: Patch comparison mode?
That doesn't work for me. The cursor button doesn't do anything once it says "COMPARE SOUND" at the top.

Patch comparison mode?
Can anyone tell me how to switch back and forth between a patch I'm editing and the original? I've set up the comparison patch number in the Edit menu, and when I press Cursor, it changes to the patch I selected, but how do I get back to the patch I was editing? If I hit enter, it reverts all my edi...

Kbd Vel -> Pitch unexpected behavior
There are a lot of things I patch that don't behave the way I would expect. For example: I wanted to test the keyboard velocity, so I did: - Init Parameters - with the VX-351 I patched the keyboard velocity to the pitch - turned off Osc1 - turned on Osc3 - turned off keyboard tracking on Osc3 But ve...

Re: Tuning Voyager Osc 2 5th?
Oh, I got a reply from support a couple days after I posted that. He said basically what Taylor Mott said: Hi Matt, So, Step H is referring to tuning oscillators 2 to a fifth. There is a preset that automatically sets the oscillators to a fifth up from the root note. This can also be done by simply ...

Tuning Voyager Osc 2 5th?
I received the instructions for tuning from Moog support, but I have a question and it's Sunday, so I don't expect them to respond until tomorrow, but I want to get this done today, so I'm asking here too. On step h in the oscillator 2 section it says to tune the 5th of oscillator 2 and that there's...

Re: Connecting Mixer Out/Filter In to guitar amp
probably NOT wise to hook the speaker out into the voyager headphone might work, but I would email Moog and ask if it's ok before trying it why don't you just hook up the one of the L/R audio output from the moog, into the gtr amp and use it as a regular amp? Well, I like to record stuff, and I don...

Re: Connecting Mixer Out/Filter In to guitar amp
I don't have a distortion pedal, just this amp. Do you think some distortion pedals are better than others for synths? I was thinking of getting a Strymon Riverside.

Connecting Mixer Out/Filter In to guitar amp
How do I connect the Mixer Out/Filter In cable of my Voyager safely to my Bugera guitar amp? I want to add some distortion. I have the ring hooked into the input and I'm not sure whether I should plug the tip into the phones jack or the 4 ohm speaker jack. Also, there's a power attenuator switch, th...

Re: Model D or MFB Dominion 1?
I think it's clear that you should get the MFB Dominion 1. The hole in your heart for the Model D will eat and nag at you until you buy one. Then you'll have both and you won't have to worry about this decision anymore

Re: LFO with upper & lower limits?
You could hook up the LFO output on the VX-351 to a clipper module like this one (I think this is what you're asking about):

I'm not sure if there is anything like that in a standalone form.

Re: Shelf width for Voyager + VX-351 + CP-251?
Yeah, when I started thinking about it, I realized it would be far better if they were on the same side Luckily, that doesn't matter in terms of the shelf size, I can just slide it over.
Thanks for the replies! Just ordered my VX-351 yeee!
